Cocoa Facial

On Wednesday, I checked the Flower Fest results on the bulletin board. Eloise was the big winner. Congrats, Eloise!

**Final Results** The biggest blossom of the Spring Flower Fest is Eloise's garden! Way to go!!

Speaking of Eloise, she was telling me about a cocoa facial she uses on her chronically dry skin. She even said that I could use one myself!

Eloise: ...but it really works! Give it a try! No offense, but you could really use it.

Peanut was still sick, so I gave her some more medicine. By Thursday though, she was all better. She thanked me for the meds by giving me a cowhide rug…which she called “my favorite.” Definitely not true. πŸ˜›

Peanut: Here! Your favorite! A cowhide rug! Enjoy, nutty!

Unfortunately, the cold has moved on to Bones now. I gave him medicine yesterday and then again tonight. Get well soon, Bones!

Down at the Roost, K.K. Slider was in town for his Saturday night show. I asked for a random song, and he performed Imperial K.K. for me.

K.K.: All right, get ready to dig the riffs on this ditty: Imperial K.K.!

After the show, I was headed back to the shop when I heard a shooting star. I wished on it before entering Nookington’s. Wishy should be sending me something next week.

I posted my latest video today, episode 54. It covers events from the past six weeks or so, including the Flea Market, Butch’s departure, and Flower Fest.

See you all next time!

Flower Fest 2023

Now that it’s early April, many trees around town are now pink. Wild World and the other older games use a darker shade of pink than the newer games, but they’re still a pretty sight to behold. 🌸

It’s also Flower Fest week, and Tortimer was standing outside of town hall. Of course, he only talks about his aching feet, so he’s really unnecessary for this event. πŸ˜›

Tortimer: Oh, Jeff... I'm so tired. My feet ache from standing here all day...

Many of my villagers have flower gardens set up for the competition, even if half of their flowers were wilted. I guess Forest needs some rain. 🌧️

Mitzi's flower garden. Half of her flowers were wilted.

And yet, Mitzi was quite confident that she was going to win the contest. Several other villagers echoed this sentiment.

Mitzi: I'm SO going to win. Beneath these dirty fingers lurk thumbs of purest green!

Eloise was confident too, but she seemed more exhausted by all the work she’s spent gardening. Yeah, I guess that can’t be easy for an elephant to do.

Eloise: My clothes and shoes all smell like flowers. And dirt.

There was a new house, and I went inside to meet Butch’s replacement. It was Caroline, the red squirrel with huge eyes. πŸ‘€ I kinda like her, even if her eyes look slightly freaky. πŸ˜›

Caroline: Nice to meet you! Out for a nice evening walk, are you, hulaaaa?

Peanut was still sick with a cold, so I gave her another dose of medicine.

I don’t plan on participating in the Flower Fest, not even to cheat and steal my villagers’ flowers. πŸ˜› But good luck to all of you who are competing this year! πŸ™‚ 🌹🌷🌼🌻

Butch Runs Away

On Wednesday, I was saddened to find Butch’s goodbye letter in the mail. πŸ™ He’s one of my favorite animals in the series, and it sucks to lose him. But the worst part is that I didn’t even get to earn his photo!! Oof.

It's good-bye, Jeff, Hey, I moved! Yeah, sorry for not telling you where I'm going, but you'll just cry or something.

I haven’t seen a shooting star in a long time. But last night, there was a meteor shower! In my 25-minute session, there were six shooting stars…and I managed to wish on five of them. 🌠

Today, Wishy sent me a letter in the mail, claiming to have granted my wish. But he only gave me a blue dresser. Am I ever going to get that last painting I need?

Anyway, Anchovy was wanting me to say that I love him (to complete his “I love you, I love you not… poem). But when I refused, he kept insisting that I really did love him. πŸ˜› Hate to break it to you, Anchovy… πŸ˜›

Anchovy: Noooo... I know you love me! You're just so stubborn, sunshine.

I found a note in a bottle on the beach, and it had a horoscope inside. It said that during the lunar eclipse, I’ll run around like a shovel-wielding maniac.

Well yeah, but I’d do that anyway.

Peanut is the latest villager to catch the cold that’s been going around. I gave her medicine yesterday and then again today. Get well soon, Peanut!

In front of the museum, Bones and Eloise were having a conversation about dating. Bones said that girls chase after him a lot. πŸ˜›

Bones: Who, me, yip yip? Well, as you can see... Girls chase after me a lot.
You mean dogcatchers? πŸ˜‰

Bones said he once fell in love with bananas Foster, and he got hurt. Eloise got mad that he was comparing food to her relationship pain.

Eloise, Sorry, Bones... That's rought. No one knows the pain of lost love like me!

The Flower Fest is coming up next week! See you then!
