Ocean Soup

On Wednesday, Saharah was in town. She asked me to deliver a rug to Mabel and some wallpaper to Pelly. I made both deliveries, and Saharah offered me a tropical vista or a tropical floor. I’ve already had both before, so I just lazily picked the first option (the wallpaper). 😛

Saharah: Do you want a tropical vista or a tropical floor?

Mitzi is the latest villager to come down with a cold, so I gave her some medicine yesterday and again today. She was starting to feel better, but that doesn’t mean she’s over the cold yet.

Mitzi: Oh, wow... I feel so much better. I didn't think it would work that fast!

I found Pascal down by the shore today, and he told me that the ocean is salty and full of fish…

Pascal: If you think about it, maaaannn, the ocean is all salty and full of fish.

…just like a huge bowl of fish. 😛

Pascal: It's, like, this HUGE bowl of soup... Just needs a little heating, maaannn.
Be careful what you wish for…

Before diving into the sea, he handed me some ship deck flooring.

Finding Hidden Fossils

With Goose’s pic on display in my house now, my latest HRA score is up to 258,924 points. I’m not going to keep these villager pictures out forever, but I wanted to least point out my score in case it ends up being my all-time high point.

Jeff, your room gets 258,924 points! It looks like your house was built around your Space! Good! -Happy Room Academy

Bones has been sick this week, so I gave him some medicine Thursday, yesterday, and then again today. He gulped it down; I hope he feels better soon!

Bones: Hack... Hack... Oh, whoooa... My legs are as wobbly as grape jelly, nutty.
Poor Bones. He’s really in a jam.

At the Roost, I attended the Saturday night musical performance. K.K. Slider performed K.K. Folk for me, and it wasn’t as folksy as I expected. It’s actually not a bad song. 😛

All right, get ready to dig the riffs on this ditty: K.K. Folk!

On my initial walk around town, I didn’t find any of today’s fossils! So I went around again, paying closer attention to the edges of the grass, where it meets the dirt. That’s where they like to hide. 😛 And to my surprise, I actually found all three of them this way.

A fossil hides along the edge of the grass and dirt in Animal Crossing: Wild World.

Last week, I posted a video taking a look at the relationship dialogue in Animal Crossing games. Almost all of the clips I used are from Wild World, because the newer games don’t have dialogue like this any more. I hope you’ll check it out if you haven’t already seen it. Here it is:

See you all next week!

Goose’s Pic

On Wednesday, two of the three daily fossils were right next to each other, right near my house! That was quite satisfying to have a big chunk of my daily tasks done in the first few seconds after loading the game.

Two dig spots (both of which contained fossils) near my house in Animal Crossing: Wild World.

Yesterday, Mitzi told me that she recently saw Pete, and he looked like he had been in a fight. She said his cheeks were all pink.

Mitzi: It looked like Pete had been in a fight. His cheeks were all pink, mew!

Then she added that it was BOTH cheeks! Is she saying what I think she’s saying? 😆

Mitzi: Yes, it's true. BOTH cheeks...
Did someone kick his butt? 😛

Inside town hall, I put some money in the bank. My account balance reached seven million bells.

Phyllis: Your balance is 50 billion bells. Just kidding! It's actually 7,000,000.

Wolfgang has been sick with a cold, so I gave him some medicine on Wednesday and Thursday. By tonight, he was already over his cold! That’s very unusual for a villager to be over a cold after just two doses of medicine! But I’m glad to hear it. Wolfgang rewarded me with a green desk.

As I was talking to Mitzi, Goose pinged me. He surprised me by giving me his photo!

Goose: Here! It's my photo! Awesome, huh, nutty?

I took it home and put it on the floor next to my other recent pics. Goose’s favorite quote is “Who are you callin’ chicken, chicken?!” 🐔

Quote on Goose's pic: Who are you callin' chicken, chicken?!

Goose has been in town for nine months, so I think that’s a bit longer than average. Wild World villager photos seem to take longer then New Horizons, but they’re still much easier than New Leaf photos.

I visited Eloise, and she was talking about changing the color of the lighting in a room. That’s something you couldn’t do until New Leaf. 😛 But the most interesting part is that she said the color yellow can drive you crazy! Not only is she yellow, but her wallpaper and flooring have a lot of yellow too!

Eloise: Well, actually, yellow drives you completely crazy, nutty!

Watch out for that crazy yellow light, and I’ll see you all next week! 🙂
