Gold is Lame?

On Thursday, Butch asked me if I wanted a golden belt. I said yes, and Butch said he prefers silver. He even said gold is lame…and he didn’t give me anything at all.

Butch: Gold is lame, don't you know? And I'm not talking about the fabric!

As I was trying to figure out what just happened with Butch, I heard a UFO! I got my slingshot out, chased it, and eventually shot it down.

Gulliver: That, my friend, is the secret to living a long life in space. Don't get eaten.

Gulliver asked me to recover his five UFO parts. Once I did, he rewarded me with a plate armor. Unfortunately, that’s an item I already own.

I’ve continued to give Eloise medicine, and she was finally over her cold by yesterday. She thanked me for the meds by giving me a lawn chair.

Bones asked me for a new catchphrase recently, and I told him to say “just bones.” It fit the situation when he asked me for a new fossil.

Bones: I really like fossils, just bones.

Today, Mom sent me a letter about the arrival of fall. It’s about a month too late, but oh well. 😛 She sent me an acorn too, but I didn’t have room in storage to keep it.

Dear Jeff, Summer is over and it's getting chilly. I slipped on some wet leaves today. It was unfortunate. Guess fall's here! -Mom

Since I don’t often play Wild World on Saturdays, I decided to check out K.K. Slider’s show tonight. He performed Café K.K. for me, and it’s not a bad song.

K.K.: All right, get ready to dig the riffs on this ditty: Cafe K.K.!

Have a good night, and I’ll see you all next time!

Acorn Festival 2022

I received a letter from town hall today, informing me that I earned 27,730 bells in interest on my bank account. Not bad!

The Acorn Festival is underway this week, and Cornimer is hanging out near town hall. He told me that he uses his special powers to scatter acorns around town. That’s not exactly the most impressive superpower, if you ask me. 😛

Cornimer: For the next week, I'll be using my special powers to scatter acorns around town.

You can find acorns under trees around town, but it requires a lot of walking back and forth to take them to Cornimer (since our pocket space is limited to 15 items, and no stacking in this game).

Acorns on the ground under trees in Animal Crossing: Wild World.

You must dispose of the rotten acorns to avoid angering Cornimer, and give him only the good acorns. But Tortimer can also give you a fortune. Mine didn’t really reveal much, though.

Your secret fortune: Mini Acorn.
Life: Do your best!
Hopes: It'll be OK.
Karma: Do ten chin-ups.
Look behind you!

Wolfgang really seemed to be enjoying the festival. A little too much, if you ask me. 😛

Wolfgang: But acorn-hoarding gets me in the loopiest mood! Whooohahaha!

Today is also Goose’s birthday, and I bought an oil drum at the shop to give him as a gift. But by the time I got to his party, I was kinda falling asleep as I played. 😴 And I accidentally gave him an unidentified fossil! Oops! 😲

Goose: A fossil, huh, nutty?!

But he still accepted it, and he even gave me a raven pole in return.

Eloise was still sick, so I gave her some cold medicine.

After giving him Tortimer a total of 63 acorns, I earned a mush stool, a mush end table, a mush lamp, a mush chair, and a mush dresser. I didn’t need them, so I sold them to Tom Nook for a total of 10,750 bells.

You have until Sunday to participate in the Acorn Festival, so good luck! 🙂

Peanut Patrol, Point 1 Pattern

On Wednesday, I found a note in a bottle on a beach. It was a letter from a husband to his wife, expressing his appreciation for her. It’s a nice gesture, but why did he throw it into the ocean instead of giving it to her?

To my beloved wife, I'm not the best at expressing myself, but I appreciate you more than words can say. Thanks. -Your loving husband

“Honey, I have something important to tell you. I wrote it in a note and threw it into the water. Start swimming now, and you just might find it someday!”

When I ran into Peanut, she informed me that she is the town’s heroine!

Peanut: Few know it, but this town's true heroine is...ME!

She said she was on patrol, watching over Forest’s peace.

Peanut: Yeah, I totally watch over Forest's peace! And now you know, nutty!

I think she was just taking a walk. But okay, Peanut. If you say so.

Yesterday, Eloise was all packed up to move out of town (just nine days after moving in)! But unlike Maelle earlier this month, she was not allowed to leave. She needs to stick around for a while!

Wendell was in town today, and he was as hungry as ever.

Wendell: Suh-so hungry... Must eat something...

As I was speaking to him, a shooting star flew by overhead (which I couldn’t wish on). But I gave Wendell a salmon I caught, and he gave me a “Point 1 pattern.” That’s one that I haven’t seen before!

Butch told me that Goose’s birthday is coming up on October 4th, which is next Tuesday. Butch told me I should stop by and say “happy birthday” for once. 😂 I’m not sure what he’s upset about; I didn’t miss his birthday or anything (that’s coming up in November).

Butch: Maybe you should stop by and say happy birthday for once, bark bark!

Eloise was sick with a cold today, so I gave her some medicine. Get well soon!

I emptied out all of the change in my pockets and put it into the bank. This is the last day of the month, so I want to maximize my bank account interest. 💰

The Acorn Festival starts next week, and I’ll be back with another entry then! 🙂
