Snowing Forever?

The first snowflakes of the season fell from the sky today. Some of my villagers, including Big Top, were happy to see it.

Big Top: Oh! Wow! It's already 8 o'clock! I played in the snow all day!

Mathilda, on the other hand, did not seem to be a fan of the white stuff. She complained that it’s been snowing forever, and she said she wasn’t even exaggerating. :p

Mathilda: It's been snowing forever. I'm so not exaggerating, J-puff.
You couldn’t not be exaggerating. 😛

When I visited Benedict, he told me it would be so cool to have a fossil in his house. Of course, he was already standing right next to two fossils as he said it.

Benedict: Yeah...it would be so cool to have a fossil in my house, buhk buhk.

As I entered Nookington’s, I heard a UFO flying by. But my character was already walking through the door, so there was nothing I could do about it.

I found all three of today’s fossils, and I took one of them (a fern fossil) over to Benedict. He rewarded me with 520 bells (of course).

Margie asked me a very stupid question tonight: She asked if I knew who Big Top is. 🤦

Margie: Hey, J-puff, you know who Big Top is... Don't you, tootie?

He’s lived in town for over three and a half years, so I sure hope I know who he is. She asked me to deliver a present (a fresh shirt) to him, and she gave me an hour to do it. I quickly made the delivery, and Margie rewarded me with an anatomical model.

No Rational Reason

Today was my first time playing in December, so I received my monthly bank statement in the mail. I earned 2,090 bells in interest this month.

When I visited Rolf, he told me there is no rational reason why people act the way they do. Very true.

Rolf: There is no rational reason behind why people act the way they do.

But he wasn’t really making some deep statement about people (or animals) in general. He was just trying to rationalize (or understand) his own desire to find a fossil. 😀

Rolf: And they're all dry and cracked. That's interesting, right, grrrolf?

Big Top was all packed up and ready to move out of town. I asked him to stay, and he said there was no changing his mind. So I asked a second time, and he said he’d reconsider. 😛

As I was hitting the daily money rock, Goldie walked behind the rock and prevented one of the money bags from coming out! So I only got six bags of bells instead of the full seven.

Goldie blocks the money rock.
I’ve been rock blocked.

Katrina was in town, so I paid 100 bells for her to read my fortune. She started by letting out a scream.

Katrina: YEEEEEEEEeeeeeeeeeeee!

She said that much happiness should come my way…and then she said maybe not. But still, I thought that was a positive fortune. That is, until I went back outside and started falling on my face when I ran around. Oof.

There was a new “Talking to Myself” post on the bulletin board today. The author (Pelly or Phyllis, we may never know which one) said that she misses being on the volleyball team back in middle school.

-Talking to Myself- When I was in middle school, I was on the volleyball team. Receive! Set! Spike! I miss it.

I found all three of today’s fossils, and two of them were parasaur skulls. I took one of them over to Rolf, and he gave me 520 bells for it. It’s not the best deal for me, of course, but I’m happy to help out my good buddy Rolf.

Getting Away With Murder?

Rolf complimented me on my hands tonight, saying they looked nimble. And he almost suggested that if we teamed up, we could get away with murder!

Rolf: If you and I teamed up, we could get away with... ...No, no, never mind.

I wonder who he had in mind? Any ideas?

My newest resident, Patty the cow, asked me for a new greeting (although I thought she was actually asking for a catchphrase). I told her to say “Got milk?”

Patty: Got milk?!

Margie gave me a free arctic camo, so I took it over to Mathilda (who had been looking for new clothes). She loved it!

Mathilda: It seems that you're beginning to understand what beauty is.

In return, she gave me a blue knit hat.

Wendell was in town, asking for food. So I gave him a carp that I caught in the river.

Wendell: I...MUST EAT IT! YUMMY!

He gave me the “west pattern,” which is just the horizontal street design (which I already had).

I found all three of today’s fossils again, and I sold fruit until the shop closed (which wasn’t long). 😛 Since this will be the last time I play in November, I put all of my money into the bank to maximize my bank account interest.

I know I’m really overdue for a Wild World video episode, but it’s coming! If all goes well, look for it on Sunday morning. Happy Thanksgiving to all of you in the U.S.! See you next time!
