Mathilda’s Pic

Pascal was in town today, and he was wondering if Tom Nook sells land legs! I don’t think that’s how it works. 😉

Pascal: Oh, maaaannn...I wonder if that dude Nook sells land legs.

He then offered to share some wisdom with me. He said that one man’s loss is another otter’s lunch.

Pascal: One man's loss is another otter's lunch, maaannn.

Before jumping off into the sea, he handed me a ship compass.

When I visited Victoria, she thanked me for the medicine I gave her last time. As a reward, she gave me a trash bin.

Victoria: OK, here you go! Trash bin!

I then delivered a letter from Benedict to Antonio, and Ben rewarded me with 520 bells.

Mathilda surprised me by giving me her picture! She said now everyone will think I have a crush on her.

Mathilda: Now everyone will think you've got a crush on me! Tee hee hee!

It’s just ridiculous how easy it is to get villager photos in this game, compared to New Leaf and New Horizons. I wasn’t even trying to get her pic, I only play once a week, and I rarely do any favors for her. Yet, here’s her pic, just like that. I put it in my house with the others. Her favorite quote is “Blood is thicker than water.”

My room of villager photos, now with Mathilda's pic.

I made sure to sell all the fruit I left on the ground last time. I also harvested a bunch more fruit. In total, I earned about 120,000 bells on the day. Next week, I should have enough for another million-bell donation to Boondox (assuming Nook’s isn’t closed by the time I play). 😛

Caution, Mummy

Wendell the starving artist (and walrus) was in town tonight. I caught a sea bass and gave it to the hungry little guy. In return, he gave me a caution pattern.

Wendell: Oh, so very happy! Suh-soo very gratified! Caution pattern!

This is what it looks like:

Benedict was all packed up and ready to move out of town, but I got him to reconsider.

Nookington’s had a spotlight product available today, and it was a mummy’s casket. That’s not a painting like I was hoping for, but it is pretty cool…so I spent the 3,520 bells to buy it.

Tommy: You have a keen eye! That's our spotlight product...the mummy's casket!

Since the store was about to close in less than 15 minutes, I decided to gather and sell as much foreign fruit as I could in that span. But after the shop closed, I didn’t stop gathering until I had picked every apple and pear tree in town. So I still have a bunch of fruit waiting to be sold the next time I play. 🍎🍐

A bunch of apples and pears on the ground outside of Nookington's, waiting to be sold.

Just a few other notes about tonight’s play session:

  • Victoria was sick with a cold, so I gave her some medicine.
  • I delivered a green vest from Antonio to Big Top. Antonio rewarded me with 520 bells.
  • I shook some trees and got a flying saucer and a reel-to-reel from them.

Froggy Chair

Nookington’s had a froggy chair for sale today for just 960 bells. I snatched it up for my pad. I’m happy to report that it farts in Wild World, like all true froggy chairs should.

Timmy: Ah, yes, yes. That's the froggy chair. Very nice. ...very nice.

Crazy Redd was in town, with a perfect painting. But of course, I didn’t need it.

Big Top asked me to catch a crucian carp for him, because it would look really good in a sandwich. But I didn’t want to help him out. I’m still bitter about that time I caught a fish for him and then he said he already caught one. 😛

Big Top: The crucian carp would look really nice in a sandwich, villain!

Antonio asked me to make a delivery to Goldie, and I agreed to help out. It took me a while to find Goldie (she was hiding behind town hall), but I did make it within Antonio’s 10-minute deadline.

The gift was a bear shirt, and Goldie just thought it was okay. When I told Antonio the news, he gave me a lovely carpet to thank me.

Kabuki asked me for some new clothes, so I bought a night sky tee for him at Able Sisters. Kabuki loved it! As a reward, he gave me a star shirt.

Kabuki: I'm totally into it, meooo-OH. It's perfect!
