I started off today by going to the city Main Street. Nookling Junction is now officially closed, and Timmy and Tommy Nook should have a new store tomorrow. Of course, having the store closed for remodeling isn’t as inconvenient as it was in previous games. That’s because you can still sell things at Re-Tail.
In the Able Sisters, I saw a beak for sale and decided to buy it.
Back across the railroad tracks, I saw that my face-cutout standee was done. You can apparently draw new patterns for it, but I didn’t give that a try yet.
While walking around town looking for the money rock, I spotted Katrina’s tent! Just like on GameCube!
I went inside and had her read my fortune for 500 bells.
She told me that after the recycle shop (Re-Tail) closes for the day, golden furniture will appear.
But she said that a cap is the key to making it work. Does that mean I have to buy a cap and wear it? I have no idea.
So I continued on my walk around town. I spotted a lost item on the ground. Interesting.
I apparently have to find who it belongs to somehow. Meanwhile, Rory sees me and give me a new nickname: champ.
I make a stop in town hall and Isabelle asks me to attend the grand opening of the face-cutout standee. I agreed to go.
Later on, I run into Fuchsia and ask her if the lost item is hers. Nope.
And then I see Rory again. I’m able to ask him about it, and he says it’s his.
He gives me an elephant shirt as a reward.
And before I end my day, I watch a train go by. The railroad crossing is fully functional.
Just a note for those of you who use Club Nintendo. If you fill out the survey letting them know you intend to buy Animal Crossing: New Leaf, you can get 10 bonus coins once you buy and register the game. But you have to sign up by June 2nd to get the bonus coins.
Okay guys and gals, see you tomorrow!
