Soon after I started up the game today, Big Top told me he was jealous because Aurora’s house looks bigger than his. He’s sure wearing the right color for jealousy. Although Aurora’s house doesn’t look any bigger than his, at least not on the outside.
Then Fuchsia told me that flowers will bloom if you talk to them. If you say so, Fuchsia.
I then headed up to the shopping district. T&T Mart had a compass for sale; I guess it’s a regular item now after being a Gulliver item in City Folk.
And I noticed a new item that was for a sale–a modern wood TV. Oh, is there such a thing?
And at the Able Sisters, I saw that the ridiculously-priced royal crown is back. Only 1.2 million bells, what a steal! 😛
Back in town, Gabi asked me to catch a butterfly for her. When I returned, she complained about seeing me too much! Listen, scatterbrain, I’m not very fond of you either!
But I gave her the common butterfly and she gave me a vertigo tee.
While shaking a few trees, I found a spider. It’s always good to catch something new for the museum.
I then decided I needed to earn some money. I haven’t gone to the island for a few days, so I headed there tonight. Before going out on the beach, I took one tour: the easy balloon-hunt tour.
You have five minutes to shoot down as many balloons as you can. Regular balloons are worth one point, and bunny balloons are worth three points. The balloons show up on the map, which is helpful. However, the wind frequently changes direction, so you really have to run around to chase them down.
I ended up with 37 points, which was good enough for a silver Tortimer award and four medals.
After that, I went out on the beach to do some fishing, bug-catching, swimming, and diving. I caught several new fish, including this ocean sunfish.
I don’t think I mentioned this before, but there is a basket you can fill up on the island. Anything you take from the island (fish, bugs, fruit, etc.) can be put into the basket, and they will be returned to the dock in your town. It holds 40 items, so that is the maximum number of things you can bring back from the island per trip.
The items remain in the basket by the dock, so you have to make several trips to a store if you want to sell everything you brought back. I filled it up tonight and made a good chunk of money. After donating 100,000 bells towards the Dream Suite, I only need about 30,000 more. I should be able to pay it off tomorrow.
That’s all for today, but I’ll be back tomorrow with another update. Hope to see you then!
