I was browsing through the information at the train station and found this little tidbit about best friends:
So by using theΒ best friend feature, you can control who can come in your town. Although most of the time I open my gate, I’ll be allowing anyone on my roster, this allows me to plan private parties as well. This is a great feature to have!
Anyway, I got my beautiful statue in the mail from Crazy Redd. Turns out, it’s real! So the art section of my museum finally has something in it!
While on Main Street, I headed into Club LOL to give Shrunk a snack. I gave him three peaches, and he taught me the sadness emotion. Sadness was not a rare emotion in City Folk, so I’m not so sure about my theory now (about multiple fruit getting rare emotions). Oh well. At any rate, sadness is a good emotion to have.
I then stopped in the post office to check for new DLC.
That’s right, the first DLC item is now available–a rainbow screen! Don’t worry, it’ll still be available when the game comes out later this month.
But before heading home to look at the rainbow screen, I finished my shopping run. As expected, T&T Mart is being remodeled. So that means no fortune cookies today. Aww, and I was hungry too…
But that’s not the only construction on Main Street today! Something new is going up next to the Able Sisters. I think it’s going to be Kicks, the shoe shop.
I then returned home. Let’s take a look at that rainbow screen!
It’s somewhat transparent for a screen, so you might not want to go behind it to change your clothes. But the rainbow screen looks nice, and it goes good with my wallpaper.
I headed over to the camp site and saw that Molly’s tent is gone. She’s supposed to be moving into Forest, so I think I’ll be seeing her again before too long.
And speaking of moving animals, I went to visit Gabi…for the last time. Today is her last day in town. How sad……… jk π π π π π
After finding three fossils, I went to the museum to have them identified. But oddly, Blathers was using the thought emotion. There was an option to ask him what was wrong, so I did. He said that even though the museum is starting to fill up, it’s still not getting the attendance he was hoping for. So he wants to use the second floor of the museum (which currently isn’t being used) for an exhibit where the residents of Forest can display their own collections!
He said he already talked to Isabelle, and it will now be one of the options for a new community project. I think I will indeed make this the next project.
I was about done playing for the afternoon, when I realized I hadn’t spoken to my favorite villager, Aurora! So I went to her house and found that she was sick!
I just need to buy her some medicine. But wait! I can’t! The little Nooklings’ store is closed today! Uh-oh! Now the question is, should I hope she’s still sick tomorrow so I can buy her medicine so she doesn’t think I ignored her?Β That sounds awful, I know! Hopefully she will forgive me.
There is one other thing that I found peculiar today. When I first started up the game and came out of my house, my character was doing an emotion–it looked like he was sweating. Is that because it’s considered summer now and I don’t have an air conditioner? Or does it mean something else? Update: It means I was wearing long sleeves in summer.
Later on, I remembered that it was (traditional) K.K. night, so I went to Club LOL to get a new song. This time, I was able to request a song and I chose K.K. Faire.
After that, I tried out a tip I got from TheAnimaldude55. He told me that when you’re on the boat to the island, if you click the touch screen a few times, Kapp’n will stop his song and just get straight to the island. It’s a helpful time saver, although Kapp’n does seem to get a bit offended.
And while on the island, I caught my first regular shark.
And just a general note about this blog. If you ever want to bookmark or link to a specific day’s blog entry, use the dated link at the end of the blog entry. If you want to look through other days’ entries, use the calendar in the sidebar.
Have a good weekend everyone!
