Gracie was in town today, looking for iconic styles. I knew I didn’t have a chance, so I didn’t even waste my time.
There was a gem rock today, and it spit out four gold nuggets for me! I also had two in storage, so that meant I had enough for two gold items. I took the first three to Cyrus, but of course it takes half an hour for him to finish them.
In the meantime, I went to talk to Rolf. He offered to sell me a dynamic painting for 3,528 bells. I jumped at the offer.
I talked to him again, and to my surprise, he offered me another painting! So I bought the famous painting as well.
I was hoping for even more, so I kept talking to him. He didn’t offer any more paintings, but he did ask me for a catchphrase. So I told him to say “up a tree.”
And then he did something I never would have expected: He called Gracie a big old granny giraffe! Wow!
He even said she seems unstable and that he hoped she didn’t hurt him!
Anyway, after that, I talked to Molly over by the bridge. She told me that Alli was thinking of moving away.
Next, I went up to the museum. Both of the paintings I got from Rolf were fakes! I think I’m going to go hunting and chase Rolf, up a tree.
I then returned to Re-Tail to get my golden item (and to give Cyrus the next three gold nuggets). The first item turned out to be a golden wall.
I put my 3DS in sleep mode for a while until it was time for the other piece to be done. When I returned, Cyrus gave me the bad news. My other item was another golden clock! He’s given me four of these now! Aggggghhhhh!
After 8:00, I went up to Main Street so I could watch K.K. perform at Club LOL. But on the way, I spotted Yuka and Big Top…on a date!
Inside the club, K.K. performed K.K. Jongara for me.
After that, Wendy opened up her gate so that I could sell my perfect peaches in her town. I stopped to take a picture of her flower arch.
Also, Crazy Redd was in her town. Wendy had already purchased a robust statue. But like me, she doesn’t use a guide to see what’s real or not. So I took a chance on buying a moving painting.
I’ll find out tomorrow if it’s real or fake. If it is indeed a forgery, that will mean I purchased three fake paintings in one day. Yikes.
