Rainy Day

Late last night, I went over to Wendy’s town for a short visit. She let me see her new outdoor chair (a public works project). I told her she should dress up as a surgeon and it would look like she’s operating on me.

Me lying on Wendy's outdoor chair PWP.Then today, it was raining in Forest. Kidd wasn’t very happy about that.

Kidd: It's going to just keep raining on us until night, isn't it, Jeff? Don't answer. I know, I'm sexy.Big Top again tried to move out of town! No way! I don’t care if you do want to join the circus, it’s not happening! They’d only pay you in peanuts anyway.

Big Top: What?! Now, how can I leave after hearing you beg me like that? When I spoke to Teddy, he kept talking about kisses and sour fruit. I didn’t know where this conversation was headed, but I tried to end it as soon as I could.

Teddy: Ki-ki-ki-kisses! I can't stop thinking about how sour fruit puckers your lips up for kissin'!I then took my scenic painting up to Blathers at the museum. Even though I was expecting it to be a fake, it was actually real! I’ve been having good luck with art pieces lately. Well, aside from all the paintings I’ve bought from Rolf.

Scenic painting title: The Hunters in the Snow.Wendy came over for a visit and we hung out in my town for a while. When I talked to Tabby, she told me that she’s drenched. Probably because her umbrella appeared to have no top! Look how the leaves went right through it!

Tabby, with tree leaves seemingly poking through her umbrella: Isn't this rain ever going to end, killer? I'm so drenched!Wendy then invited me back to her town to see her newest project, a geyser. Wow, I am so jealous! I want one!

Wendy's geyser public works project (PWP).Later in the evening, I returned to my own town to finish up my daily tasks. I worked a shift at the cafe, where Kidd asked me for the usual. Of course, he had not been to my cafe before, so I had to guess what he wanted. I was completely wrong, and he didn’t like it at all.

Kidd: Oh! Thanks for the coffee! Umm, I'll see you later.I ran into Tabby again, and she was telling me she wanted to huddle under her umbrella with someone. It’s sure not going to be me!

Tabby: I wish I could huddle under an umbrella with someone, waddle! And over by my wind turbine, I saw the first signs of grass regrowth! It was right along the edge of the cliff. There weren’t even any flowers in that spot.

Searching for Kidd

Today, Benedict asked me what I thought of his clothes. I wasn’t sure what to say. I didn’t want to insult him, but I didn’t want to act like they were something amazing either. So I chose the “cute” option. However, he got insulted by that and thought I was comparing him to a stuffed animal.

Benedict: You think I look cute?! Like a stuffed animal or something?Crazy Redd had a tent set up today, so I went inside to see what he had to offer. I ended up buying a scenic painting from him. However, I wasn’t very familiar with most of the paintings he had today. So I’m not feeling very confident this time.

Redd: I see! Ya seem to be really close to that scenic painting, yeah?Back outside, Canberra asked for a new catchphrase. I was feeling sarcastic, so I had her say this:

Canberra: Yo, Jeff! You get around, eh? I'm sexy!Someone asked me to make a delivery to Kidd…but I couldn’t find him around town anywhere! I even started going around to animals’ houses in case he was visiting someone. When I went in Tabby’s house, she indeed had a visitor. But it was Rolf, not Kidd. And he was standing by her bed, while she was staring out the window next to her shower.

Rolf stands waiting by his bed while Tabby takes a shower???When I talked to her, she offered me 3,000 bells for my angelfish. Where did she get that kind of money all of a sudden?

Tabby: Oh, 3,000 bells? Yay! That's the perfect price. For reals, sell your angelfish to me!I continued my search for Kidd. The only house left to search was Molly’s, but he wasn’t in there. Molly was busy alphabetizing her kitchen utensils. 😮 OCD much?

Molly: I set up my kitchen exactly to my liking. My utensils are in alphabetical order, from blender to spatula! My search for Kidd led me to the museum, where I searched every single room. I even went back to town and checked the beach, but he wasn’t there either! Clearly he’s been Kidd-napped.

But just as I was preparing to plaster his face on milk cartons, I spotted a group of animals by my central bridge…including Kidd! These animals were not here before! I think he’s been using a Portal gun somehow. Anyway, I gave him his package–a mint gingham shirt.

Kidd: Ah, my mint gingham shirt! I thought if ever I lost something, I'd never see it again, but I was wrong. He rewarded me with a five-ball tee. Seriously? I walked fifteen miles to find you and all I got was this lousy T-shirt?

FYI: I have recently updated my town page to reflect Kidd’s arrival, my updated map, and a picture of my zen garden.

Slushie Machine

I got a letter from Pete informing me of the latest Nintendo Zone DLC. So I went and got my new slushie machine.

Pelly: Sorry to keep you waiting! I hope you enjoy your new slushie machine!I went over to T.I.Y. to see if it could be ordered again. Thankfully, it can.

Slushie machine DLC: 2,400 bells.I decided to put mine in my back room, next to my neon sign that advertises just such a drink.

It was raining in Forest today. Fine by me, since it means I don’t have to water my flowers. And speaking of flowers, a fourth black rose appeared by my house.

Rain falls on my four black roses and other flowers.A bit later, I ran into Teddy. He asked if I visited him while he was sick. He was sick?? Oops.

Teddy: Did you come visit me when I had a cold? Sorry if I don't remember. I was a little delirious. And Rolf asked me for some fruit for his dessert. I grabbed a peach for him. He liked it so much that he almost forgot how to speak.

Rolf: Yeah! You can't go wrong when it comes to peach! He gave me a racer 6 tee as a reward; I didn’t care for it. But then I went to meet Rolf’s new neighbor, Kidd the goat. He actually seems pretty nice.

Kidd: Yeah, you and me? We'll be best friends in no time. Come on over whenever after I'm all unpacked!Back out in the rain, I ran into Teddy again. He asked for a new greeting and I had him say “I like the honey.”

Teddy: I like the honey! Whatcha want, grooof? And Aurora was telling me how her feet were all soaked and wrinkly. I did not need to know that.

Aurora: All the walking I've been doing today has my feet all soaked and wrinkly, waddle!I saw Katie standing in the rain, wanting to go to another town. To be nice for a change, I decided to help her out. I checked for open gates, and Rodney’s gate was open. But I kept getting error messages when I tried to visit. And when I tried again later, no gates were open. Sorry, Katie.

Katie: Hey, Mayor! D'you think you could take me to some other town again? And after my shopping run for the day, I headed up to the Happy Homes Showcase. A new SpotPass home was there, belonging to Chiko from ToriTori. “Eggs everywhere,” she says.

Chiko: I'm Chiko from ToriTori. My home is over at North 4. Eggs everywhere!!I went in her house, and WOW, she was not kidding. Eggs everywhere, indeed!

Chiko's house full of Yoshi eggs! She’s going to have her hands full when all of those eggs hatch and she has to take care of all those Yoshis!

Her house only had two rooms: the main room and an upstairs room. When I went up to check that other room out, I saw a UFO visiting another wheat field-filled room.

A UFO visits Chiko's room full of wheat fields.I’d like to think all of these alien wheat field rooms were inspired by my ACCF Wi-Fi Moments #14 video from 2009. (The scene in question starts at the 0:27 mark in the video below).
