I had a camper over at the campsite today; it was Ricky the squirrel.
Why would you put peaches in chili?! Anyway, I had no interest in asking Ricky to move into town. I haven’t been like many of my campers lately, actually.
And Rolf told me that he left his shirt at Tabby’s house!
When I went to update my dream town, I saw that Emily from Holland was the most recent visitor to my dream town. If you’re reading this Emily, hi!
The Able Sisters had this skull tee, so I bought it.
When I returned to town, I did a little fishing and diving. After coming out of the water onto the beach, Aurora asked me to put an outdoor chair there. I would if I could, but the game doesn’t let you put public work projects on the beach.
This is what the outdoor chair looks like:
That might be a nice project to put in at some point. So I can sit it in, and all my villagers will see I’m an even lazier mayor than they realized.
When I started up the game tonight, Big Top was right outside my house. He asked to visit my house. I said sure, so he told me to lead the way. So I turned around and went inside. He followed me in and he could hardly believe he was in “killer’s house.” Careful what you wish for, elephant man.
When he was done snooping around, I went back outside when Big Top was done snooping around. Molly told me she was going to move out of town on the 11th of this month. Permission denied.
Hide and Seek
Before long, Teddy told me that he wanted to play hide-and-seek. Two days in a row? Sure, why not?
I had ten minutes (not 15 like yesterday) to find Teddy, Tabby, and Big Top. It took me nearly four minutes before I found anyone, though. Big Top was the first to go down, after hiding behind a tree.
A minute later, I found…a lost mitten. Unfortunately, it doesn’t count.
But just across the bridge from there, I found Teddy. And with four minutes remaining, I found the last (and certainly least) animal, Tabby.
I won the game, and Teddy rewarded me with a tall lantern. He also said I was a lousy winner, which was totally uncalled for. He needs to remember that I’m the mayor and I can have him stuffed.
When I talked to Big Top again, he was talking about…actually I don’t remember what he was talking about.
Returning the Mitten
The lost mitten didn’t belong to any of the hide-and-seek players, so I went around asking everyone. Then I went into Canberra’s house. She was surprised to see me willingly enter her house. I was surprised about that too, to be honest.
She said the mitten was hers. Oh no. My heart stopped. Please don’t give me your picture! Fortunately, she gave me a tan dogstooth shirt instead. I’ve never been so happy to receive a crappy shirt in exchange for a task. Whew, that was a close one!
Back outside, Teddy was acting just as strange as Big Top. What’s with everyone today?
New Badge
But soon, I saw one of my favorite animals to see: Phineas! He gave me a new Refurbishing Beginner badge. It’s for customizing lots of furniture at Re-Tail.
New PWP Suggestion
Before I finished playing, I talked to Big Top yet again. And this time, he suggested a new public works project! But…it’s just a sandbox.
It looks like…a sandbox. Definitely one of the lamest projects.
Something New
That’s all for today’s blog. But if you like my New Leaf blogs, be sure to check out my new section on JVGS: Jeff’s Dream Suite Adventures. I’ll be visiting dream towns and writing about my adventures, blog style. If you like my blogs, you’ll like this new section too. My first adventure takes me to the infamous Aika Village, and more dream visits will be added soon. Thank you for visiting JVGS today!
Today, I got a letter from Wishy, the shooting star. A gift was enclosed–the Tower of Pisa. I thought that was an odd gift, because it seems like it should be a Gulliver item. I’m debating whether or not I should include this in my “World Wonders” exhibit at the museum. It had been just for Gulliver items, but this seems to belong too. For now, it’s in my modern wood room.
When I went back outside, Big Top pinged me. He suggested a new PWP–a hammock!
This is what it looks like:
I think I may install one, but probably not right away. I’d really like to completely pay off my house.
Anyway, I made a mistake last night: I thought Big Top was the villager who suggested the petition. But when I talked to Big Top again today, he didn’t mention it. But the petition was still taking up a spot in my inventory, so I needed to find out who it belonged to. Because Big Top just wanted to play hide and seek.
I had 15 minutes to find Big Top, Canberra, and Molly. Canberra was the first one I found, trying to hide behind the police station.
I found Big Top leaning out from behind a house.
And Molly was down on the beach, hiding behind a banana tree.
For winning the game of hide and seek, Big Top gave me a blue vase. I continued my walk around town, and Canberra mentioned Aimee from Termina. She said she was a bell pincher, but she’d like to see her again.
Later on, I ran into Canberra again. But this time, she was talking about potatoes and French fries. She was making me hungry!
I eventually tracked down the person who sent me on the wild goose chase last night: Teddy. He told me that it was too late for the petition signatures, so I could just toss it in the trash. At that point, the petition turned into a “paper scrap,” and I could no longer look at it.
At 8:00, I went over to Club LOL to hear some K.K. music. I asked for a random song and he performed K.K. Steppe for me.
