First Bitterling

I was watering my flowers when the clock struck 8:00 tonight. I just happened to be over by my modern clock, so I got to see it light up. That’s something I probably haven’t witnessed for a couple months.

My modern clock lights up at the top of the hour.I talked to Tabby, and she said she was too hyper from eating some gingerbread. She asked me how she could slow down. I chose the option that said “a bonk on the head.” But she figured that would just make her crazier. Very true.

Tabby: What? Like with one of those toy-hammer thingies? Wouldn't that just totally make me crazier?I went up to Main Street, where Luna told me that Jayden from Montoya was my most recent dream visitor. Next, I went to Club LOL to get a new song from K.K. I let him choose a song and he played “I Love You.”

K.K.: Enough tuning--let's groove. This next one is for you, Jeff. It's called I Love You.I went to visit Big Top after that, and Kidd was visiting him as well.

Kidd: Oh, hey! Didn't think I'd see you here in Big Top's place... So, uh, hi, skippy.Big Top asked if it was really me under the green pumpkin head.

Big Top: Is that really you under that green-pumpkin head, killer? He said he should take a bite of it to find out for sure! No, no, no, that’s not necessary!

Big Top: If I took a big bite out of it, that would settle the mystery once and for all!Back outside, I did a little fishing and caught my first bitterling!

I caught a bitterling! What's it so bitter about?I now have caught 67 fish and 67 insects. So I need five more of each to complete those collections at the museum. One of the fish I need, the tuna, is in season now. So I need to do some ocean fishing one of these days.

That wrapped up my night in Forest. But earlier in the day, I took a dream suite adventure to a lion themed town.

The lion banner flag in Lion Town.If you haven’t seen the pictures from Lion Town, make sure you check them out. It’s a gorgeous town and it’s the best dream town I’ve visited yet.

Crab Diving

Today, Big Top told me he was going to move out on the 12th of this month. Absolutely not! I made him stay.

When I talked to Tabby, she told me she needed to replace the mosquito in her house and needed something the same size.

Tabby: My mosquito could be replaced...but I'd have to swap it out with something the same size.So I caught a black bass and gave it to her.

Tabby: It's a black bass! She thanked me and gave me a green lamp in return. (Are a mosquito and a black bass really the same size? Somehow I don’t think so).

Over by my fountain, Rolf came up to me saying he finally found me in his cage.

Rolf: Yo, skippy! Finally found ya! In my cage!He asked me to make a delivery to Aurora, so I took her the package. It turned out to be some clothing, which she tried on. It didn’t look very good on her, so she changed back into her previous clothes. She did give me a bamboo shoot for my trouble, though. When I returned to Rolf and told him what happened, he said it wasn’t the clothes’ fault. He implied that Aurora was a bad model! 😮

Rolf: Well, that's not the clothes' fault! Even the best clothes can look bad on the worst model, GAHAHA!I went to visit Benedict today, and he was finally over his cold. He gave me a paper tiger to thank me for the drugs I’ve been giving him all week.

Benedict: Take this as a token on my apprecation. It's a paper tiger!Saharah was in town, so I paid her the 3,000 bells to give me new wallpaper and carpet. She installed a groovy wall and a tatami.

A groovy wall and tatami floor that Saharah installed in my house.I had a gem rock today, and it included one gold nugget. So I decided to customize my super toilet and make it gold! It fits in my golden room quite nicely. Behold my golden throne!

My super toilet customized in gold, next to my golden clock. While I was down there, I decided to remove the two patterns I had installed on easels. Instead, I put four of my patterns directly on the wall instead.

Four of my designs hanging on my wall: The Animal Crossing logo, the New Leaf box art, the Wii U logo, and Chief Wahoo. At 10:00, I opened my gate for Friday Night Forest. Patty and Maria came over to play. I was wearing my green pumpkin head.

Maria, Jeff, and Patty hanging out by the train station. In my back room, I noticed that my clock read “22:22.”

My modern clock displayed 22:22, with the number two in each of its four corners. We did a little dancing at Club LOL. My former resident Harry also joined in.

Maria, Harry, and Jeff dancing in Club LOL.Patty left around 10:40, and Maria went up to Main Street and checked out the museum. While I was in there, I got bit by a mosquito.

I got bit by a mosquito while inside the bug exhibit at the museum.Up in GracieGrace, Gracie said that her creations will last for a million seasons! Can I get that in writing?

Gracie: My rarefied creations will last for a million seasons--as long as you take proper care of them!Once we were done exploring the shopping district, Maria decided to do some fishing and I wanted to do some diving. At 11:00, it started raining.

Rain begins to fall as a green-pumpkin wearing Jeff swims in the ocean. After a while, she joined me under the sea. I caught a red king crab and she caught a spiny lobster.

Maria holding a spiny lobster and Jeff holding a red king crab. That red king crab was one of two November crabs I needed. But I soon caught the other one as well, the snow crab!

I got a snow crab! 'Sno problem, really!I now only need two more things to complete the diving section of my encyclopedia (and museum exhibit). After that, I started fishing instead. I still needed a tuna, but I didn’t catch one tonight. I did catch a coelacanth however, which was good for a nice 15,000 bells.

As I reached the top end of my main beach, I saw Maria standing on my smaller, private beach. So I put my wet suit back on, dove underwater, and snuck up on her to try to trick/scare her.

Me, wearing a green-pumpkin head and coming up out of the water: BOO!

Around 11:40 or so, I ended the party for the night.

Gold House Model

Last night, Rolf suggested a new public works project, a rack of rice. How exciting.

Rolf: It's nothing serious. I'm just thinking it's about time we got a nice rack of rice here. This is what it looks like:

Rack of rice: 17,400 bells. Then today, I got a letter in the mail from the Happy Homes Academy. I topped 150,000 HHA points! They sent me a gold house model as a reward.

The gold house model I got from the Happy Homes Academy. And when I went outside, I saw Phineas. He gave me the accompanying badge, the Happy Homer Gold badge. This is my first gold badge.

I got the Happy Homer Gold badge! I'm a superstar to everyone in the Happy Home Academy!I also got my neutral painting in the mail from Crazy Redd. Unfortunately, it proved to be a fake. My lucky Redd streak is officially over.

Reese: Oh no! If you look very closely at it, you can see it's a fake!Outside, Rolf was telling me that wimps think he’s scary.

Rolf: It seems SOME people find me a little...intimidating. I guess those wimps think I'm kinda scary.Katrina was in town, so I went to have my fortune told. She told me that a swell shirt was the key to unlocking good fortune.

Katrina: Swell shirt...And then I had an intelligent conversation with Teddy.

Teddy: Darg blargit!!When I went up to Main Street, Lyle told me that my house scored 169,869 HHA points.

Lyle: Evaluatin'. Tabulatin'. Name of the game. Just the interior. Bang! My crew says...169,869 points! And Luna told me that Chris from Moonrise was my most recent dream visitor. I decided to make a Dream Suite visit to the town of someone I StreetPassed last week. So I put on my pajamas and headed off to Granvale. While there, I saw a rainbow.

A rainbow in the dream town of Granvale. And in a way, I went back in time. You know how Tammy moved into my town last week? This is the town she moved from. And this person apparently hasn’t updated their dream town since then, since my current Tammy was still there! I’m meeting her in her previous town, before she decided to move to Forest!

Tammy: Oh, Jeff! The town seems, like, kinda weird... don't you think? If she thought that town was weird, maybe that explains why she left.

When I woke up from my dream, I bought some medicine for Benedict. He was still sick today.

Benedict: Ahchoo! I hope I didn't just sneeze out part of my brain...
