I actually played New Leaf in the morning today, because I wanted to buy some turnips for a change. Once I finally found Joan (the megaphone proved to be useless in my search), she told me she was selling them for 97 bells apiece. So I bought 1,000 of them for 97,000 bells.
I then stopped over by my bingo snowman and I rolled his eyes. He spun a 37 for me, and that’s the number I needed! Bingo!
He gave me a ski-slope wall in exchange for my winning bingo card.
There was an igloo at the campsite today, and Rhonda the rhino was inside.
Believe it or not, I still hadn’t read today’s mail yet (because I was rushing to find Joan before noon). So I returned home and found a letter from the snowtyke. He sent me this snowman matryoshka. When you press A, the snowmen pop inside of each other, just like the dolls of the regular matryoshka.
Benedict pinged me and told me he was going to move out on January 3rd.
Even though I like him, I’m not trying to stop him this time. My town hasn’t seen any villager movement in two months, so it’s time to change things up a bit. And it will give me the ability to take in a new villager from the campsite or from a friend.
I saw Skye walking around and I spoke with her. She told me she was reminded of a favorite book of hers, Business Strategies for Dolts.
I also ran into Teddy, who asked to visit my house.
After he was done hanging out, I went looking for today’s snowballs. I was trying to build a flawed snowboy (it sounds crazy, but having imperfect snowpeople is key to getting all of snowtyke’s items). But instead of a flawed snowboy, I made a flawed snowmam by mistake. She won’t even accept my snowflakes. Fail.
The snowtyke was just sitting there being cute, however. He told me that if I ever get a sunburn, I should go to him and he’ll cool it down for me.
As you may know, I’ve been trying to get Big Top’s picture for seven and a half months. While other villagers hand pictures out like candy, Big Top has been reluctant to hand his out.
So when Big Top asked me for a coelacanth, I actually decided to help out. So I went fishing. And I kept fishing, until I finally caught a coelacanth. I returned to Big Top and gave him the big, rare, valuable, back-from-extinction fossil fish.
And in return, he gave me….*drum roll*…. a regal sofa. WHAT? Are you kidding me?
Needless to say, I was furious at him. I haven’t decided if I should cook up some elephant steaks for dinner, or if I should just send him to the circus (from whence he came). Regardless, this elephant man is walking on thin ice right now.
