Late last night, Tabby suggested a new public works project: an illuminated clock.
I hate to say it, but Tabby’s actually been pretty useful when it comes to suggesting new PWPs. Rolf and her seem to suggest the bulk of my projects. Anyway, the illuminated clock may look great at night, but it sure looks ugly when it’s not lit up. But I play at night a lot, so I will consider installing it in my town.
I was by the edge of the cliff when a balloon present smacked me in the head. OW!
Jessica needed signatures for a petition, so she asked me to open my gate. I did, but she was unable to connect despite numerous attempts. So she invited me over to her town instead, and oddly enough, that worked just fine. Jessica had a perfect snowmam in her town, which means it only required three snowflakes for a piece of ice furniture instead of five.
So I took advantage of the snowmam by catching snowflakes and paying reduced prices for her services. There was one part of Jessica’s town that really impressed me: The area around her town tree was surrounded by a circle of trees. This picture doesn’t quite do it justice, but it’s really cool.
It was getting late, so I returned home for the night.
But then today, a notice posted on the bulletin board reminded me that tomorrow is the winter solstice. During the summer solstice, it stayed bright and sunny all day and night. So the winter solstice should be the opposite, staying dark even during the daytime hours.
Gulliver was down on the beach today, and he’s headed off to Mexico. He will send me a gift from there tomorrow.
When I made a snowman today, it turned into another snowmam. It wasn’t even a perfect one, so it didn’t help me out very much. Well, I guess it gives me one day longer to collect the full ice set, but that’s not a big deal.
When I checked my sole surviving bingo snowman, he rolled a number 9 for me. I needed it, and now I’m one away from a bingo in three different ways.
He told me this situation was even more rare than a completed bingo!
I’ve punched 15 different numbers, and I still don’t have a bingo. This is my failure of a bingo card:
I spotted Phineas, so I went up to him and asked him for a badge. He gave me the Village Gardener silver badge for planting lots of flowers.
Skye was on the metal bench, and she invited me up to sit with her so we could warm each other up.
So I joined her for a quick snuggle. I think Big Top was getting jealous.
A bit later, Big Top asked me for some furniture that could sit on a table. I wasn’t sure what to give him, so I just caught a fish (a bitterling) for him. He said he would take care of it and raise it as if it were me! That’s kind of an odd thing to say.
Out of curiosity, I decided to see how much ice furniture sells for. Reese will pay 8,888 bells for each piece. Of course, the reason for that price is because the number 8 resembles a snowman.
At 10:00, I opened my gate for Friday Night Forest. Patty, Squishy, and Nick from Ylisstol came over to visit. Both Squishy and Nick have had trouble connecting to my town in the past, but they were able to visit tonight without problems. Squishy gave me some perfect oranges, so thank you Squishy! I told them to explore, but after a while we ended up in my house.
While Patty was sitting on my bench and Squishy was by my illuminated tree, I surprised Squishy with a party popper to the head.
She must not have appreciated it, because she got her hammer out. Now this is a face that wants revenge:
After a while, Patty left and the rest of us went out to the island. I chose the giant dragonfly tour and we got an easy 20 medals, not counting our bonuses.
We also did a hammer tour (which Nick won) and an ore mining tour (which I won). We then did a little fishing and bug-catching.
And then we headed back to Forest. Kapp’n called Squishy a queen and said that Nick and I were her servants!
Around 11:30, Squishy left (it was 4:30 a.m. for her!). I started catching some snowflakes for my ice furniture collection, and Nick left a bit after that. So I closed the gate around midnight. I now have eight pieces of ice furniture, plus the wall and floor. So I believe I only need three more pieces and I’ll have the whole set! Good deal.
Well that’s all for tonight, but I’ll be back with more tomorrow. Have a great weekend, everyone! Happy holidays!
