Last night, I sold my last hair-bow wig to Kieu.
And today, being the last Friday of April, was Weeding Day! Leif the mime was over by the town tree talking about pulling weeds. However, Forest had no weeds to pull.
So I qualified for the Special Cleanup Award. I’m now able to decorate the town with topiaries that Leif designed. They’re available as public works projects (PWPs) at town hall. I headed there right away to take a look at them, only to find out that I can’t do anything because today is an event day.
But these are my rewards for the event, Isabelle! Let me look! I’ll have to take pictures of them tomorrow. But for now, I made my usual walk around town. When I put some money in the bank, my account balance topped 12 million bells. And in the Emporium, Leif’s garden shop section was roped off (since Leif is at the event plaza).
I went to Mark’s town, because he has a sci-fi set for me that I’m going to use for another giveaway coming up soon. While I was there, I saw that Leif was asleep.
I also looked at Mark’s house, which is in the process of being changed from a castle to an astro-themed house. I was afraid some medieval robotic bees were going to swarm out of there.
He also gave me an extra lily record player he got from Leif. Thanks for everything, Mark!
At 10:00, I opened my gate for Friday Night Forest. David and Squishy came over to visit. They were nice enough to help me clean up (and eat) all the extra candy I had at my plaza. All that candy gave me a big bellyache.
When we were done, we watched the history of Forest and then hung out in Re-Tail of all places. When we went back outside, David found the daily pitfall seed.
About 10:30, Jessica also came over to visit. After greeting her with a friendly hammer to the face, we all went out to the island. One of the island tours available today was the hide-and-seek one! Yes! On the first one, we found all four animals in less than a minute. That was good for an easy nine medals.
I chose the same tour again, and we finished in just over a minute. And this was despite hearing a sales pitch from a Progressive insurance saleswoman.
We also went on a gardening tour and aced it as well.
David had to leave after that, so we headed back to Forest. Jessica also left. But just a few minutes afterwards, Meli came over to visit. Squishy and I glitched into the river and we raced around.
I won the race! Of course, Squishy didn’t know we were racing, but I’ll take the win however I can get it! I then surprised them both by eating another famous mushroom I found today.
We were encouraging Meli to glitch into the river to join us.
But that’s when someone else tried to join the party. But as they were about to come in, we all disconnected. I reopened my gate and Georgie came in.
Mike also came over to visit, and he admitted that he was the one who caused the first disconnection when he tried to come in. Using my tweeter, I was able to smack both of them at the same time.
Meli returned and Forest had a full house once again. We went out to the island… I’m tempted to say again, but it’s not again. This is an entirely different group from the first island trip. How rare is that?
Anyway, this group wasn’t nearly as shy about picking tours, so I just went along with what they picked. We went on a tuna-catching tour and only won a bronze award. But we scored big on the bonus medals (at least Georgie and I did).
We also went on a gardening tour and an elite hide-and-seek tour. The elite one has pitfall seeds that turn it into a falling-in-holes competition. I found more worms than villagers, but I finished the game in-style (and in mid-air).
We returned to Forest and I tried glitching off the dock as someone was playing with a timer.
A bit later, we gathered at my house, where Meli told me she worked for the HHA and she was inspecting my house! Uh-oh…
But I think her grading scale is a bit different from Lyle’s. My back room, which has creepy furniture, is a bit cluttered. In fact, it’s completely blocked off by modern wood furniture that I moved out to make room for my egg room. But Meli didn’t seem to notice how scrambled it was, and rated it high for being colorful.
Meanwhile, Georgie saw my egg room and–like a superhero–turned into the Easter bunny.
She told me not to look behind her. I was wondering if her bunny suit had a zipper like…Zipper. But it didn’t. I’m just glad she didn’t lay an egg.
After the house and bunny inspections were complete, we headed over to Re-Tail. But Re-Tail was closed.
At this point, we got disconnected. I was basically done for the night, but I reopened for a couple minutes so that Meli could catalog the Aries rocking chair again. And with that, I ended my night in Forest. I’ll be back tomorrow with pictures of the topiaries. I may choose to install one in my town too, but I’m not sure where just yet.
Have a good night and a good weekend, everyone!
