Making Deliveries

I was able to get in touch with all three giveaway winners today. I left my 3DS at the screen where it lists any open gates and I put my 3DS in sleep mode and put it in my pocket. But I later found out, my 3DS had taken 42 near-identical pictures over an eight minute span, all like this:

Porter: Here is a list of the available towns at the moment. When I returned, I saw Charlie’s town Casania open. Charlie was the second prize winner, and I delivered seven villager pics to her.

Delivering items to Charlie.Next, I headed to Aimiria, which is Taylor’s town. She won three villager pics.

Dropping off items at Taylor's town. And a bit later, Bre opened up the gate to her town Crimson. She was the grand prize winner, and she won nine villager pics.

Delivering villager pics to Bre.Congratulations to all three winners! There will be more giveaways coming up in the near future, so stay tuned for more.

When I returned to Forest, I sold all of my turnips at Re-Tail. Reese was paying 163 bells each for them, so I scored 163,000 bells for them all.

Reese: Well then...I could probably part with 163,000 bells for all of it, if that sounds OK with you?I spotted a mushroom growing by my stump today. It was a famous mushroom, which lets me grow to superhuman heights…if only for a moment. Tomorrow is my Wi-Fi night, so I may surprise my visitors at some point.

Spotting a famous mushroom on the ground. While I was working a shift at the Roost today, a clown came in to entertain me!

Pietro comes in for coffee. And I thought Klaus was frightening! Actually this clown (Pietro) didn’t entertain me at all. He just wanted some coffee. What a boring clown.

Skye asked me for an apple, so I looked around and found one for her. When I gave it to her, she thanked me and gave me a hamster cage. An apple for a hamster? What an odd trade.

Skye: Here. What do you think about my hamster cage? I hope you like it!Aurora told me she wanted to move out on the 29th of April, but I made her stay.

Aurora: It may seem sudden, but I'll be moving away on the 29th of this month.I also went to Julia’s town DeadStar to sell her a hair-bow wig. She was happy to have it.

Julia and her new hair-bow wig.Today’s most recent dream visitor was Julieth from Astoria. Thanks for visiting, Julieth!

Are you all ready for Weeding Day tomorrow? From what I understand, you can’t have any weeds if you want the special PWPs. But if you want the Weeding Day furniture instead, you do need weeds. Clearly, I’ll be going for the PWPs, so I’m looking forward to that. Check back late tomorrow night for Friday’s blog entry. See you then!

Giveaway Winners

Klaus was camping at my campsite today. He’s big, but he’s no Santa. He actually seems a bit frightening.

Klaus: Hey, I'm here visiting town! I'm Klaus, and I'm just enjoying my camping trip.I heard the sound effect of a flea hopping around, so I looked around and soon saw it was on Gala. After I caught it with my net, Gala told me she tries hard to keep clean.

Gala: WHAT? I had a flea on me? Eww. I try to hard to stay clean too.
Don’t lie. You love rolling in the mud, admit it.

I found Gulliver down on the beach, and he was clearly headed to Egypt. He said he’ll never know how they built the pyramids.

Gulliver: It's famous for tall, triangle-shaped buildings called pyramids. How they built them, I'll never know.
Aliens!

I took Kapp’n’s boat out to the island to check today’s tours. No hide and seek, and nothing I really cared for. But I decided to go on one Hop-To-It bug hunt tour. I had five minutes to catch as many locusts as I could. I ended up catching nine of them, and that earned me a gold Tortimer award and eight medals.

Tortimer: That's enough to net you a Gold Tortimer award and 8 medals! And up at the Dream Suite, Luna told me that Emily from Alfheim was my most recent dream visitor.

Luna: According to the latest feedback, a client named Emily from Alfheim enjoyed your dream. My giveaway for villager pictures ended today, so I held the drawing tonight. I took all valid entries and pasted them into a worksheet. I used random.org to pick three random numbers, and the three winners were:

  • 1st Prize: Bre (0087-2352-1718) wins 9 villager pictures.
  • 2nd Prize: Charlie (0989-2289-1711) wins 7 villager pictures.
  • 3rd Prize: Taylor (2122-7020-7702) wins 3 villager pictures.

I have tried contacting all three of them, but I’ve only heard back from Bre so far. I plan on dropping off her prizes tomorrow afternoon/evening. If Charlie or Taylor are reading this, please check your e-mail or respond on the friend exchange page. Or comment here. Or message me anywhere.

The winners have until Saturday night at 9 p.m. Eastern U.S. time to claim their prizes. If any of them fail to do so by then, I will draw a new number (or new numbers) to choose replacement winners. So I’m saving my spreadsheet until all prizes have been delivered. Stay tuned for updates!

Nature Day

Today is Nature Day (Earth Day) in the North American versions of Animal Crossing: New Leaf. Isabelle can be found at the event plaza handing out a cool globe. She told me to never forget the importance of a clean town…as the area around her is flooded with leftover candy from Easter. Oops.

Isabelle: It's a cool globe! Please take it and never forget the importance of a clean town! For the event, there’s also a face-cutout standee where two players can hug the world. Awww.

Hugging the world in the Nature Day standee. Here’s a look at the cool globe.

The cool globe.Up in the Dream Suite, Luna told me Caitlin from Albany was my most recent dream visitor. And when I went into Able Sisters, Gabi quickly walked to the window and kept staring out into the sunlight. She’s an odd one.

Gabi mindlessly staring out the window. And Kidd told me he was moving out of town on April 24th (as Nan looked on). However, I’m not ready for him to move out just yet. I’ve grown to like Kidd, so he’s sticking around a while.

Kidd: I'm making my big exit on the 24th of this month. At least that's the plan, oh pooh.Agent S asked me to make a delivery to Gala, and I was surprised to see what was in her house. She has two piggy banks! Are they her kids? Pets?

Gala: Yay! OK, let me open it!The item Agent S sent her was a blue check shirt. She thanked me and gave me a biwa lute for my trouble.

As a reminder, the three giveaway winners will be announced in tomorrow night’s blog entry. Good luck, everyone!
