Father’s Day

I forgot to buy turnips this morning, so I’ll have a week away from the ups and downs of the stalk market. That’s not a bad thing.

Today is Father’s Day, and I got a letter from…Mom? A red carnation was attached. Happy Father’s Day to all the fathers out there!

Jeff, If things get tough, you can always come home. Your dad's too old fashioned to say it himself. -MomThere was also a message posted on the bulletin board for the occasion.

~ Today is Father's Day ~ You might not be able to say 'Thanks, Dad' every day, but make sure you tell him so today!Brewster wouldn’t let me work at the Roost today, but there was no event at the event plaza.

In other news, Kidd asked me for an orange…but I couldn’t find any! I think Wendy took them all, haha.

Up at the Dream Suite, Luna told me Kylee from Art Land was my most recent dream visitor. And it was raining again today. If this keeps up, it may be about time to switch back to the night ordinance. Agent S was hoping the rain would end soon, but I’m hoping it continues for a long time.

Agent S: Why won't the rain let up? Doesn't the sky know I'm totally over this, superhero?Later on, I dropped off my golden axe at Wendy’s town Pawnee. She’s laying down paths (the ones you see are just a placeholder) and she needs to cut down the trees that are in the way.

Jeff and Wendy. She’s also in the process of building a badly-needed bridge. On the map, it looks like Lloid is in the water. But in person, it looks like he’s about to walk the plank.

Jeff: Walk the plank!

Rory the Shoplifter?

When I went to visit Aurora today, I also found Nan visiting as well. I’m disappointed to see Nan, only because she should have been gone as of today.

Me and Nan visiting Aurora.Back outside, Gala was talking about how she likes mystery TV shows.

Gala: Because once I start a myster, I can't stop until I know how it ends!
I should let her watch a documentary on where ham comes from. Let’s see if she’s still eager to see how *that* ends.

Up at the Dream Suite, Luna told me that Shannon from Rainbow was my most recent dream visitor. And in Able Sisters, Rory was acting quite guilty!

Rory: This is not a case of the criminal returning to the scene of the crime!I didn’t even consider that he might’ve been shoplifting until he kept getting defensive about how he wasn’t! I think Copper needs to frisk him.

Rory: I didn't do anything!
Tell it to the judge.

And later on, Skye told me she plans on moving out on June 19th. I like Skye, but I would like get my town under the maximum, so I’m letting her go.

Skye: It may seem sudden, but I'll be moving away on the 19th of this month.Shortly before 8:00, Wendy came over to buy some tools for her new character.

Wendy buys up the tools at the Emporium. She also got her hair done at Shampoodle, just moments before they closed for the night.

Wendy's new haircut.I then ended the party and went over to Club LOL. K.K. performed K.K. Marathon for me. The song seemed to drag on…for 26 miles. It’s not my favorite song.

K.K.: Enough tuning--let's groove. This next one is for you, Jeff. It's called K.K. Marathon.

Friday the 13th

It was raining in Forest tonight. For Big Top, that meant he got to skip taking a shower. But let me tell you, a wet elephant does not smell very good at all. Use some soap next time, big guy.

Big Top: I'll save you! The only good thing about rain is that you can skip a shower that day!At 10:00, I opened my gate and Wendy and T. Zelda came over to visit. I noticed that Wendy was from the town of Pawnee! She downloaded a digital copy of New Leaf and she named her new town Pawnee (from Parks and Recreation).

Wendy from Pawnee has just arrived in Forest.I hadn’t fully played the game for the day yet, so I was surprised when T. Zelda told me I had a camper. It was Bluebear the…blue bear.

Bluebear: Hey! Look, I know it's kinda sudden, but I've decided to set up camp here.Agent S told me about a dream she had, where she ate sauerkraut off of a surfboard and drank buttermilk out of seashells. I was afraid to ask what she used for a toilet.

Agent S: Everyone was sipping the most delicious buttermilk out of seashells! We sat at the town tree to view my town history in the rain.

Sitting at the town tree.I wondered if Skye (the wolf) didn’t care for my visitors much. Because she told me how to send them all home.

Skye: That sends everyone back to their own town at once.We hung out in my house and talked about Tomodachi Life and some of the E3 announcements.

T Zelda: BTW Jeff did you saw the E3T Zelda: Pac-Man is finally choosenIn the basement, we started talking about gold things such as golden toilet paper and edible gold. (But not edible toilet paper).

Sitting in my gold room.My town still never filled up after an hour, so I suggested we go out to the island anyway. The rain continued on the boat ride there.

Taking the boat out to the island.Once we arrived, we went on a tuna-catching tour, a dragonfly-catching tour, and a hide-and-seek tour. T. Zelda won the fishing and bug tours, and I believe Wendy (unofficially) won the hide-and-seek tour by finding two of the four hiding villagers.

Tortimer: T Zelda gets 3 medals, Jeff gets 2 medals, and Wendy gets 1 medal! After that, we returned to Forest and T. Zelda left for the night. I perceived a plethora of perfect peaches to pick, and Wendy offered to let me sell them in her town. So I loaded up on peaches, while she collected other types of fruit for her town, and then we headed to Pawnee. Including what I had in storage, I had exactly 100 perfect peaches. I sold them all for 300,000 bells on the dot.

Reese: Well then...I could probably part with 300,000 bells for all of it, if that sounds OK with you?Pawnee is a nice town; her town tree is right in the center of town, and her starting villagers are pretty cool too. I made sure to say hello to Genji, who is a long-time resident of my GameCube town.

Genji: I'm Genji! Hope we can be buddies! After a while, she ended the party for the night.

It’s Friday the 13th, but I completely forgot to put on a hockey mask and try to kill everyone with an axe. Oh well, maybe next time. Have a good weekend!
