Rabbit Trap

Saharah was in town today, so I hired her to redecorate. She put in a cheese floor and a plaster wall. I had no intentions of keeping either.

A cheese floor and plaster wall.Back outside, I ran into Dotty. She said she was feeling hyper and she asked me how she could chill out. I told her to jump in a pitfall seed.

Dotty: What? You want me to jump into a pitfall to chill out? that's pretty extreme, Jeff. She wasn’t very keen on the idea at first, but then she ultimately agreed that it would be super effective!

Dotty: But now that I think about it... Pretty darn effective. You're a genius, Jeff!So like a good neighbor, I helped her out!

Dotty struggling to get out of a pitfall.I thought she would be grateful, but after she climbed out of the hole, she was actually mad! How rude! I was just helping her out!

Dotty: AHHH!!! I'm usually good at keeping my cool, but that is SO not gonna happen right now! I am MAD!!!She was steaming, so I thought I would help her even more by cooling her off. Surely the rushing air of a swinging net to her head would be cool and refreshing, right? But for some reason, that didn’t make her feel any better!

Dotty: Now just hold on! What's gotten into you? You DO know that makes me like you a LOT less, right?!Well if she’s going to act like this in response to my acts of kindness, maybe I should just be mean to her next time!

Anyway, I went up to Main Street and Luna told me Jake from Florida was my most recent dream visitor.

I took a trip out to the island, and I saw that hide-and-seek was one of today’s tours. So I went on the official one.

Rod: Whoa! You found me!I found all four animals with three minutes and 23 seconds remaining. That was good enough for a gold Tortimer award and nine medals.

Tortimer: That was fast! Really fast! You've earned a Gold Tortimer award, meaning you get 9 medals!I then returned home for the night. Friday Night Forest returns tomorrow!

Dotty’s Evil Side

Today, Frank surprised me by telling me he’s moving out of town on July 13th (Sunday). Normally, I wouldn’t let him go this soon without at least getting his picture. But since I’ve been trying to get under the maximum long enough to have a choice to invite a camper in, I decided to let him go.

Frank: The truth is, I've been thinking it's about time for me to leave this place behind. However…since I don’t have his picture, I’m going to keep talking to him. So there will still be a chance he could change his mind, even though I don’t plan on changing it for him. With that said, if anyone wants him, you can let me know. But just realize that it’s not a 100% sure thing that he will leave. So don’t get upset if he changes his mind.

And after going a long stretch without a camper, I now have had one two days in a row. Today’s camper was Pancetti the pig. But there’s no disappointment this time; I wouldn’t have asked her to move in anyway. Well, unless I was hungry at the time.

Pancetti: Hey there, I'm Pancetti. I'm just in Forest camping for a little while.Drago asked me for a peach, and I gave him a perfect one. He enjoyed it and rewarded me with a rococo table.

Drago: Whoa! That was probably the tastiest perfect peach I've ever eaten, burrrn. As I was checking some items in my storage, Agent S invited herself over. I wish the game provided you with an option to answer the door or not, because these visits can be annoying sometimes.

Agent S: ANYONE HOME? C'mon, open up, Sweet-J!After she left, I later ran into my newest neighbor Dotty on the bridge. Her eyes are kind of frightening. How do we know she’s not a serial killer or anything?

Dotty: Oh, it's totally you! Hello, hello, wee one!She told that she and Big Top were both at the door of the shop, about to enter at the same time. But she pushed Big Top out of the way and went in first! A bunny pushed an elephant out of the way? Either she’s a big liar or she has some sort of evil powers that give her extraordinary strength! Either way, I should probably keep my distance.

Dotty: One of us HAD to go in first, right? So what else could I do? I shoved my way in, wee one!Even worse, she felt she deserved to be thanked for rudely plowing through an innocent elephant! Don’t be so full of yourself, you evil killer rabbit!

Dotty: And no one even THANKED me for breaking up that traffic jam. It's so hard being number one!On one hand, I feel like she deserves to be pitfall’d. But on the other hand, I’m afraid I might end up dead and buried in that hole I dig if I try it! But I think I’ll delay that decision until another day.

Later on, I took a fake painting over to Haley. I didn’t rip her off, she knew the painting was fake and still wanted it. It’s better than throwing it away, at least.

Visiting Haley. When I returned, I went on a shopping run on Main Street. I also checked to see my most recent dream visitor, and Luna told me it was Dia from Stratos.

Thank you very much for reading this blog and visiting JVGS! Please come again!

Dotty’s Arrival

Dottie the bunny rabbit moved into town today. Her house is close to my tulip topiary.

The tulip topiary and Dotty's house.I went inside to meet her and she told me she moved here from Berlin. I’m guessing that’s a StreetPass town.

Dotty: Hey! Nice to meet you! I'm the famous Dotty from Berlin. Ever heard of me?She also said she’s decorating her house with cardboard boxes! What a jokester.

Dotty: So tell me, friend, what do you think of this room? I'm decorating it with cardboard boxes!Dotty seems okay, I guess. I just hate when I get my 10th (and final) villager spot filled up by a random move-in. That keeps me from being able to ask someone to move in from a friend’s town or from the campsite.

Speaking of which…on the exact day that I get my 10th villager, now I get a camper! I went inside the tent to see who it was…Ankha! Are you kidding me?!

Ankha: Hey there, I'm Ankha. I'm just in Forest camping for a little while.I’ve always liked Ankha a lot. Not only because of the Egyptian theme, but she’s also my islander in the GameCube version of Animal Crossing. I definitely would have invited her to move in, but of course I can’t now.

Until recently, I’ve had two lucky streaks going for a long time. One was that I didn’t have any new animals move onto my path. That streak ended just last week. The other lucky streak was that I hadn’t missed out on any campers that I really wanted…until today.

At the Dream Suite, Luna told me Laura from Peridot was my most recent dream visitor.

I’ve updated my town page to include Dotty’s arrival and I also updated the map of my town.
