Another Plot

Kidd has finally recovered from his sickness, and he was outside walking around again. I spoke with him tonight and he thanked me for the medicine. He also gave me a regal carpet.

Kidd: 'Cause of you, I'm fully recovered!I also found Drago outside. He pinged me and I was quite surprised by what he had to say: He said he wanted to move out of town on July 12th! Already??

Drago: I know it's sudden, but I'm leaving on the 12th of this month!Even though I don’t like where his house landed, it’s way too soon to get rid of him. Although I soon ran into something else that was also a surprise: a house plot!

A new house plot. This means my town will be full again. Ugh. And who is the new villager going to be? Dotty the bunny.

This spot reserved for Dotty's new home. -Nook's HomesThe only good news is that her house is in a good spot. But I don’t really want her around. All I want is the freedom to ask a camper to move in if I choose, and I never get that option because campers only seem to come when my town is full.

I made my way up to Main Street, where Luna told me Marbel from Hollowe was my most recent dream visitor. And in the Emporium, Yuka looked like she was waiting for us to turn away so she could use the men’s toilet. Uhh, what?

Yuka about to use the men's toilet in the Emporium?

Wild Painting

I played the game too late in the day to buy any turnips for this week. Oh well. As I began my walk around town, I saw a piece of furniture on the ground. I have full pockets pretty often, and I sometimes need to drop things to make room…so I didn’t think much of it.

But when I went to go pick it up, it started walking away! That’s right, it was a walking leaf. They seem to fool me exactly once each year, and today was that day. I got my net out and caught it.

I caught a walking leaf! I'm glad it can't run!I met up wtih Big Top, and he heard that Gala was calling me ham and he wanted to get in on it too. Sure thing, “ham” sounds a lot better than “Sweet J!”

Big Top: Hey, Sweet-J. I heard that pepole have been calling you ham. That sounds so cool!Agent S asked me for some furniture, and I gave her my walking leaf. Oddly enough, she seemed to enjoy it. She rewarded me with a cement mixer. Why a cement mixer? That left my head spinning. But I’m sure it will turn into a solid gift.

Agent S: It's a cement mixer! Thanks so much!In my southwest park, I found Aurora sitting on the yellow bench. She asked me to join her.

Aurora: This is the best season for relaxing outside. Why don't you sit down and join me, Sweet-J?So I did. She had fish breath, but I didn’t say anything.

Sitting with Aurora on the bench.Big Top asked me for a new greeting, so I told him to say “Call me Mr. Hero.”

Big Top: Call me Mr. Hero! What's shaking, trunkless?I hope he doesn’t think that greeting is subpar.

I went to visit Kidd, and he was still sick. Maybe he should hire a nanny to take care of him.

Kidd: I'm feeling a bit feverish today.I went up to the Emporium and bought him some medicine for the third day in a row.

In my mailbox, a wild painting appeared! I tried donating it to the museum…it was super effective!

Day 430

I received a letter from Gulliver in the mail today. He sent me this conical straw hat from Vietnam.

Trying on the conical straw hat.Crazy Redd was in town today, and I wasn’t sure which of his art pieces was real. So I took a chance on this wild painting since it’s one I need for my museum still. I don’t see what’s so “wild” about it, though. It looks like a placemat.

Redd: I see! Ya seem to be really close to that wild painting, yeah?Gala approached me with a new nickname she thought up: Lamb.

Gala: Ummm... How about lamb?I didn’t like her suggestion. But I kept with the spirit of it by choosing a nickname that rhymes with lamb.

Gala: That settles it. Ham it is! I think that's a perfect name!I went up to Club LOL to catch a performance from K.K., and he sang K.K. Salsa for me. Unfortunately, I forgot to bring the K.K. chips to eat with it.

K.K.: Enough tuning--let's groove. This next one is for you, Jeff. It's called K.K. Salsa. For a moment, when I first went up the stairs at the Emporium, I thought the Nooklings were selling a scarecrow! But it was just a cowardly lion.

Rory standing in the Emporium. While I was there, I bought more medicine for Kidd. He was sick again today, but this second dose of medicine seemed to help him. Hopefully he’ll start feeling better soon.

Kidd: Phew. I think the worst part of this sickness has passed, thanks to the medicine I took, kidd!
