Today was the day of the first fireworks festival of the year. Over at the event plaza, Isabelle was accepting designs for custom fireworks. You tell her which of your patterns to use as fireworks, and you’ll see them later on once the fireworks start. I gave her my JVGS and Animal Crossing logo patterns.
It was already nighttime in Tom’s town, and he invited me over to see some fireworks. So I headed over there, and his Isabelle gave me a heart bopper to wear.
I tried it on as Tom continued to buy cookies from Crazy Redd (and redeem tickets for prizes). As you can see, he had a big stockpile of items already.
Of course, we spent some time looking up the sky to watch the fireworks. This was Tom’s “do not enter” sign.
Tom’s battery light came on, so he ended the session. When I returned to Forest, I updated my dream town. Luna told me that Austyn from Hville was my most recent dream visitor.
Later on at 8:00, I opened my gate for fireworks. Megan, Patty, and Squishy came over to visit. Megan and Squishy took turns trying to melt my face.
We watched some fireworks from a bridge, which has long been my favorite spot for fireworks.
Here’s a look at my Animal Crossing logo firework. It’s not super clear, but you have to be really quick to get a photo of the pattern fireworks before they blow up so big that they’re not recognizable.
If you’d like the QR code of my Animal Crossing logo, it’s on the general patterns page of the QR Codes section.
Patty didn’t stick around very long, leaving after just 15 minutes or so. Once she left, Lauren came in to take her spot. She was happy to see Molly.
Between Crazy and Redd and Isabelle, the event plaza was a busy place tonight.
Lauren was being sly as a fox as she glitched into Redd’s stand.
It was kind of chaotic at times with so many things going on at once. In a good way, of course.
Some of us sat at the town tree to view Forest’s history, or at least part of it.
We started talking about patterns and we went up to Able Sisters. While we were in there, I got to thinking about the Able Sisters Glitch from Animal Crossing: City Folk on Wii. In that glitch, a player could get stuck behind Sable. It’s done by having one player run up and down (just to the right of Sable) while another player runs left and right.
Surely they must have fixed that glitch in New Leaf, right? There’s no way the same exact glitch could be found in a completely different game…right? Well we tried it, and sure enough…the glitch is in New Leaf too! Megan was Sable’s first victim! #freemeg
In City Folk, repeating the same actions with two (free) players may result in a different player getting stuck behind Sable–or it may result in freeing everyone. In hopes of that latter result, the rest of us continued trying to glitch. After a few minutes, Megan was freed…but Lauren was stuck instead.
Eventually, Lauren was freed, but I got stuck myself! They even tried getting Tex involved in the process, as I made a mental note never to do this glitch again.
I was ultimately replaced by Megan, and we were back to square one. It wasn’t worth the effort to keep trying, so I told everyone I would just end the party and reopen my gate. Once I did, Lauren and Megan returned. MaryAnn also joined in, so Forest was full once again.
We watched some more fireworks until the moon exploded.
After a while, Lauren had to leave. Megan also went into the train station, apparently to get something from her locker. But Megan, you shouldn’t play with fireworks. You’ll shoot your eye out!
Megan got her balloon out, and I tried to use my slingshot to pop it.
MaryAnn changed into the MVP shirt, and naturally, we started making up phrases that MVP could stand for.
Megan, MaryAnn, and I have played ACCF for years, and we have lots of inside jokes. So when Madisyn joined in, she probably didn’t have an idea what were talking about half the time. We returned to the event plaza, where MaryAnn made me feel a burning sensation.
After doing some glitching and watching fireworks, we went into the cafe for some coffee. In addition to hearing the music play in here, we also heard a metallic banging sound that I haven’t noticed before. It sounded like someone trying to break free or signal for help. Maybe Brewster had Jorge locked up in the basement or something?
Madisyn suggested some dancing at the club, so we headed up there. Surprisingly, this was Megan’s first time dancing there!
I also spoke with Alli, and she tried to tell me she was there to shop. I’m not a gator hater or anything, but she was clearly lying through her teeth.
After we were done dancing, we headed over to my house.
We hung out for a while, but I ultimately decided to end the session around 12:15. I was only planning on playing for maybe an hour tonight, and it ended up being over four hours! I definitely had a good time tonight, so thanks to everyone who came. And sorry to Wendy, who was trying to come but couldn’t get in.
After the party was over, I saw there was a message on the bulletin board. Megan posted “Mousse.” That could mean 98 different things, so how was I supposed to know what she meant by that? Be more specific, Megg!
