Last night, I got everything ready so that I could buy turnips today. I cleared out my pockets and loaded up on over 300,000 bells. I started up the game today with around 6 or 7 minutes to spare, so I thought I was in good shape.
I quickly walked around town, but I didn’t see Joan. I did see Katie, however. I was seriously hoping Katie wasn’t preventing Joan from showing up as I made my second trip around town. But still, no sign of Joan. And as my completed my second circle around town, the clock struck 12 noon and it was too late.
Needless to say, I was furious at that annoying cat. She caused so many problems for me in ACCF when I was trying to hunt for Gulliver’s UFO, and she’s still causing problems for me in New Leaf. Resetti is optional in ACNL, so why can’t Katie be optional too? Personally, I think she’s the bigger nuisance.
Anyway, I had a confusing chat with Drago by my bridge. He asked what he could do for me if he died. Hmm, probably not much.
Rolf told me that people tend to think he’s scary. So he asked for a greeting that would make people less scared of him. I told him to tell people he’s not a tiger, but a zebra!
I updated my dream town in the daylight hours again (shocking!) and while I was there, Luna told me Madi from Hyrule was my most recent dream visitor.
At 8:00 tonight, I opened my gate for fireworks. My town quickly filled up with Wendy, Tiago, and Squishy. Of course I watched some fireworks from my bridge.
Over by Isabelle, I helped myself to one of her dog treats. Wow, these are good!
I couldn’t help but notice Wendy had quite a tan.
Isabelle gave me a flower bopper and we all hung out in the event plaza.
I took the elevator up to the roof of Redd’s stand (or maybe I glitched up) and watched some fireworks there.
Squishy insisted she wasn’t smuggling any oranges today. But instead, she tried going on a duck hunt to kill Molly! Molly was crying and trembling in fear.
We then boarded the boat to go take a trip out to the island. All of us except Wendy, that is. She apparently had to paint her house, run a marathon, and write a novel before she hopped on. I’m waaaaaiting…
Once we arrived, we went on a butterfly-catching tour. We won the gold Tortimer award and had a three-way tie for first place. Squishy was all alone in last place. Maybe she should have brought some oranges after all, to attract the butterflies!
The tour selection wasn’t very good today. But we also went on an item-matching tour and a lobster-catching tour. At one point, I dove for a big lobster, only to find out it was actually Squishy underwater! Oops!
When we returned from the island, I stopped at the top of my ramp to watch the fireworks, while Squishy raised a giant lollipop to the sky.
After Squishy visited with Octavian, she said he reminds of her of Birdo. Wendy took it a step further and said that Octavian is Birdo.
Up by the bus stop…oh wait, this isn’t City Folk…we watched some more fireworks. Here’s my U.S. flag pattern as a firework.
We also glitched onto the tracks and went out to the bridge to watch some fireworks there too.
We then glitched off the bridge, and then again into the void.
Eventually, I ended up under the town and I was running all over the place. Here, I was under Octavian’s house.
It took Squishy and Tiago a bit longer to make that last glitch down. I was now in the air above them. Just don’t ask me exactly how…maybe I’m just full of hot air.
By 10:10 or so, I was about done playing for the night…but Wendy thought she might have killed some flowers while running around. I know I had some flowers missing from a previous week, so I wasn’t 100% sure if any new ones were gone. (I need to move some flowers around to fill in the gaps so I can be sure for next time). But just in case, I chose to disconnect us instead of ending the session. I had a good time, so thanks to everyone who came!
After that, I made a quick visit to Kisa’s town Kipling to drop off some wallpaper.
And that wrapped up my night in New Leaf. See you next time, everyone! Thanks for reading!
