Amelia’s Surprising Pest

Tonight, Amelia told me that she wanted to get rid of a pest in her house.

Amelia: I've got a little pest in my house that I want to get rid of. Oh, not roaches! Ew, no. Never! But she wasn’t talking about a roach, an ant, a fly, or even a bird mite. Surprisingly, she was talking about a goliath beetle that she wanted to replace! I didn’t have any furniture that could be placed on a table, so I caught a barbel steed for her.

Amelia: Why, that's so...aquatic. And now I have a tank where I can put my excess yerba mate too!I would have loved to get her pesty goliath beetle, but instead she gave me a cow skull!

Amelia: Here. Why don't you take this? It's a cow skull!Over by my brick bridge, Agent S was telling me she wanted to be on a game show because she’s extremely intelligent!

Agent S: Because, like, I have an IQ of a hundred billion or something! There's not even a number for it!And up at the Dream Suite, Luna told me that Harry from Priceton was my most recent dream visitor.

Luna: According to the latest feedback, a client named Harry from Priceton enjoyed your dream.

Kabuki Moves In

As expected, Gulliver sent me a chocolate coin in the mail after I got his question wrong yesterday. I put it near the town tree, so that any dream visitors can eat it if they want. My dream address isĀ 4300-2003-9889.

A message on the bulletin board informed me that today was Amelia’s birthday, so I made sure to pay her a visit. Molly was also there, helping her celebrate.

Amelia: Hey, I've been waiting for you! Now we can start the party for real. In earnest!I gave her a customized exotic bench for a present, and she loved it!

Amelia: Have you been reading my diary, Jeff? Because this is exactly what I wanted!I’m not sure what Molly gave her for a gift, but she must have loved it too. Molly said Amelia was quite excited to rip through the wrapping paper!

Molly: My wrapping paper was a big hit. Amelia certainly tore it apart with enthusiasm! At the campsite, Curlos was camping out in a tent.

Curlos: I'm Curlos. I'm in town for a little camping trip. It's so nice around here. I love it!I just happened to walk by my modern clock right at 10:00, so I got to see the light display.

The modern clock all lit up.I then made my way around to meet my new neighbor, Kabuki! He has not mentioned coming from TZ’s town Hyrule, but that would be quite a big coincidence if he just happened to show up as a random camper days after TZ visited with a voided Kabuki of her own. At any rate, I’m glad to have him in my town. He seems glad too, and he even mentioned staying forever!

Kabuki: 'Cause I'm really here, and I really did it! And that means now you'll have to put up with me. Forever!I didn’t promise him forever, but I’m sure I’ll be keeping him a long time.

I finished my day with a trip up to Main Street. The shops were closed of course, but I put some money in the bank, identified a fossil, and updated my dream town. Luna told me that Alli from Paradise was my most recent dream visitor.

See you next time! Thanks for stopping by!

Big Top’s Mitten

I went to visit Big Top today, and I asked him about the lost item from yesterday. Indeed, it was his mitten. Shouldn’t I have been able to tell if a mitten was elephant-sized?

Big Top: Oooh! You found my mitten! However, the reward he gave me was not worth the trouble. He gave me a kitchen scale.

Big Top: Here's a thank-you gift for your trouble. I hope you like it. It's a kitchen scale! There was another camper at the campsite, so I went inside the tent to see who it was. It was Ozzie, a koala with a big orange beak nose that does not match his body. Maybe he should follow the yellow brick road and ask the wizard for a new sniffer.

Ozzie: You're from this town, aren't you?Back behind my tulip topiary, I found a new house plot.

A new house plot.As expected, it belongs to Kabuki. This is approximately the area where Tabby once lived, although this may be a few spaces further south. It’s a pretty good location actually, considering the house didn’t land on a path. I think it may have wiped out a tree, though.

This spot reserved for Kabuki's new home. -Nook's HomesDrago informed me that Gulliver was down on the beach, so I went down to wake him up. He was talking about the Nobel prize, and for some reason, I was thinking Switzerland. But that was the wrong answer. So he’ll be sending me a chocolate coin in the mail tomorrow instead of one of his regular treasures. But that’s fine by me, since I already have all of his treasures in my museum.

Gulliver: ...Somehow, I think that's wrong.
