November FNF

Tonight, Sprinkle asked me to collect signatures for a petition titled “A Year Without Complaining.” Sure, as long as I don’t have to sign it myself.

Sprinkle: Yeah, just find folks who will sign my A Year without Complaining petition. How about it?And Rolf told me he was looking to replace his sea bass. Good call.

Rolf: I'm thinking about redecorating my room, and I want to replace my sea bass. Definitely.I gave him a customized sleek dresser, and he gave me a mini lamp in return.

Saharah was in town–perhaps to visit the Egyptian part of town? I paid her 3,000 bells for some new wallpaper and carpeting, and she installed a playroom wall and a mosaic tile.

A playroom wall and mosaic tile.Around 10:00, I opened my gate for Friday Night Forest. T Zelda came over to play. She sat on my tree stump and I dug some holes for her to fall in. I’m just helpful like that.

TZ in a hole. After about ten minutes, Wendy also came over. We were talking about the DLC Pack for Mario Kart 8, although neither Wendy nor TZ has it yet.

Wendy, Jeff, and TZ.TZ told me that Kabuki moved out of her town just a few days ago. So there’s a chance I might get him! Normally I’m not happy about surprise 10th villagers, but Kabuki is cool and I’d be glad to have him.

Wendy, T Zelda, and I walked like Egyptians down to my “desert” area.

The Egyptian part of town.Wendy helped me glitch onto the Sphinx. Step on a crack, break your mummy’s back.

Jeff: Giddyup!I also surprised them by eating a famous mushroom I found the other day.

Giant-sized Jeff on the Sphinx.I could tell you I didn’t have legs, but I’d be lion.

Amelia asked me for a cherry, so I went up and shook a cherry tree near my fountain. I left the other two cherries on the ground because my pockets were full. When I gave Amelia the cherry, she thanked me by giving me a mixer. Meanwhile, TZ discovered the abandoned cherries and she didn’t seem happy that I just left them on the ground like that, so she brought them to me.

Amelia: I really need to thank you. Here--it's a mixer. At the face-cutout standee, we took turns dying.

Using the tombstone faceboard. And then we started doing a bunch of emotions, for no reason in particular. Maybe we were just happy to be alive again.

Using emotions. Not long after that, TZ left for the night. Wendy and I hung out for a bit, and then she opened her gate so that I could collect petition signatures in her town. Her villager Cookie is normally so sweet, but tonight, she kept calling me a dummy!

Cookie: Oh, so what's going on, dummy?I met Kiki on a dark bridge and she signed my petition in the moonlight.

Kiki signing a petition.Genji just wanted to show off his muscles. Wait, are you threatening me?

Genji: Take a good look at Pawnee... And get a gander at my massive biceps too, pow!Actually, I’m pretty sure he was on a date with Bunnie. But he was trying to play it cool.

Genji and Bunnie, possibly on a date.Genji’s signature was the last one I needed. Petition complete!

Petition signatures: Boomer, Limberg, Cookie, Kiki, Bunnie, Genji.I gave Wendy a warm painting for her museum, and then she ended the session for the night. Back in Forest, I took the petition to Sprinkle and she rewarded me with a small LED display.

Sprinkle: It's a small LED display! Yeah, you really earned it.Have a great weekend, everyone! I’ll see you next time!

Building a Sphinx

Today, Rolf asked me if I’d like to practice rounding up suspicious critters around town. He was really asking me to play hide-and-seek. It seems like my villagers have wanted to play this a lot lately, but that’s fine by me.

Rolf: Hide-and-seek is a perfect game to practice quickly finding suspicious hooligans hidden around town!I had 15 minutes to find him and the two penguins. I started out by heading to the right instead of the left this time, and it paid off. I found Sprinkle hiding behind Drago’s house, in pudding!

Sprinkle: What?! But my hiding place was perfect, in pudding!About a minute later, I found Rolf–also hiding behind a house.

Rolf peeking out from behind a house during a game of hide and seek. And within another minute, I found Aurora hiding behind Agent S’s house.

Aurora hiding behind a house.I won the game in under three minutes, and Rolf rewarded me with a lazy-Susan table.

Rolf: Well, I have no choice. Take my lazy-Susan table in memory of the great game we had!Over by my bridge, I got Drago to ping me. He told me he was moving out on November 16th, and I told him he wasn’t going anywhere.

Drago: Wow, I didn't think you'd care that much. Well, if you really want me to stay in Forest, then I will! And in the southern part of town, my new Sphinx has been completed! At some point, I’m going to try making a sand pattern to turn this area into a small desert. But for now, I just put in some yellow bricks and yellow roses.

My pyramid and Sphinx. But soon after, I fell on my face! Is the Sphinx cursed? Did I fall victim to some Sphinx jinx?

Falling on my face.Or maybe I’m just having a bad luck day. 😉 I then spoke to Isabelle at town hall and told her I wanted to attend the completion ceremony. We headed there right away.

Isabelle: Welcome to the grand completion ceremony for Forest's vital sphinx project! After that, I decided to check in on Big Top again. He was sick yesterday, and he’s still sick today. Once again, I bought some medicine for him. Get well, get well soon. We wish you to get well!

Big Top takes his medicine.I decided to return to the Sphinx. No PWP is really broken-in until I’ve glitched onto it, so I used the net glitch to get up on its paws.

Glitching onto the Sphinx. And I’m not weird or anything, but…well…okay, maybe I am a bit weird.

Using the love emotion while facing the Sphinx.By the way, I’ve already updated my dream town for the day, so feel free to visit the Sphinx if you’d like! My dream address is 4300-2003-9889. I’ll be back with a Friday Night Forest blog entry late tomorrow night. Hope to see you then!

Clearing Out Customized Furniture

A message posted on the bulletin board today informed me that snow flurries will soon be falling!

~Weather Forecast~ Snow flurries will begin, and nights and mornings will get colder.Crazy Redd had a tent set up at the plaza, and he was selling some works of art. I knew that three of his four items were fake, so I figured this warm painting must be real. I bought it, even though I already have a warm painting in my museum.

Redd: Lemme just get that sweet, sweet payment, and we'll be all set!Up at the Dream Suite, Luna informed me that Claire from Mico was my most recent dream visitor.

Aurora asked me for a piece of fruit, and I gave her a perfect peach. She gave me her game show stand in return. Has she hosted a game show before? I wonder what it was…Wheel of Fish?

Aurora: Take my game-show stand, please. And for the first time in a long time, I decided to install a new public works project (PWP)! I’m finally putting in a Sphinx near my pyramid. I’m not trying to copy off of Squishy’s town Cosmic or anyone else–well, maybe I am copying off the Egyptians–but I’ve wanted to do this for a long time.

Isabelle: It's going to be hard to wait for all the donations to arrive so we have our sphinx!I took some money out of my bank account to pay it off, and it will be completed tomorrow! Here’s a better look at its location.

The location for the Sphinx, just behind the pyramid.I’ve been accumulating a lot of customized furniture lately. They’re good for giving to animals, but I’ve been reluctant to sell my extras since I want my villagers to take them. However, my stockpile has gotten a bit too big and I wanted to start clearing some of them out.

So I put them all in my pockets and filled my empty spots with peaches. This way, animals can’t offer to sell me furniture–they can only ask to buy or trade. And this process worked pretty well; I cleared out a bunch of my extra items by talking to my villagers over and over until they bought most of them.

One of my “customers” was Rolf, who asked me for some new furniture to replace his director’s chair. I gave him a customized stripe closet, and he gave me a bathroom stall in return. Uh, thanks.

Rolf: A bathroom stall! Thanks again for the help! When I spoke with Aurora, she told me that Drago was planning on moving out soon! Oh no! Unfortunately, he wasn’t home and I didn’t find him around town. But I’ll keep an eye out for him in the coming days. Hopefully I’ll be able to talk him out of moving in a day or two.

Aurora: I was talking to Drago not long ago, and he mentioned he was thinking about moving...Big Top was sick with a bad cold today, so I bought some medicine for him. Hopefully it will work soon, because he assured me it’s not fun having a big trunk full of mucus.
