Losing Leaves

Meli informed me that her Re-Tail was buying turnips for a whopping 456 bells each today, so I quickly headed to her town.

Reese: Currently, I'm buying each turnip for 456 bells.I sold my 3,100 turnips for a grand total of 1,413,600 bells! Thank you very much, Meli! I then gave her a tip.

Jeff: *tips Meli over*No, actually she asked me not to tip her, although I did slip her a 100-bell coin. I’m a big spender. 😛

After I returned home, then I noticed Katie the annoying traveling cat. Too bad, I’m not helping you out today. Go take a nap in your litterbox.

Katie: I was in Tomville just before coming here again. It's just as cool as I remember it!I put the money into my bank account at the post office, and my balance topped 28 million bells.

Your current balance is 28,090,000 bells. When I checked my mail, I found a letter from Gulliver in Scotland. He sent me some bagpipes. I’ve always liked bagpipes, so I put them in my house next to my sofa (replacing my deer scare).

My new bagpipes.Down by the river, Octavian had a flea on him. So I got my net out and caught it…as a nosy kitten looked on.

Octavian: Whaat?! I had a flea on me!And at the event plaza, I noticed that the town tree is losing its leaves. Of course, this is completely normal for this time of year. The leaves fall off and will be gone by winter, and they’ll regrow in the spring.

The town tree starting to lose some of its leaves.Octavian asked me for an ocean fish, so I caught an olive flounder for him. When I gave it to him, he thanked me with a spade tee.

Octavian: This is just a token on my thanks. It's a spade tee!Rolf was getting hungry, but he wasn’t interested in eating any of Forest’s former residents up on Main Street. He asked for a pear, and I gave him a perfect pear. He loved it and he rewarded me with a table lamp.

Rolf: Whoa! This is crazy tasty!Just a reminder for the people on my 3DS roster that Friday Night Forest is this week. I’ll be opening my gate on Friday around 10pm EST.

Ninja Please

After checking turnip prices this morning (77 bells), I reached down for the start button to save and quit my game. However, I accidentally pressed the power button by mistake. Even though a quick press doesn’t power down the system, it does shut down the game. So when I started the game up again later on, I had to endure a chat with my old frenemy Resetti.

Resetti: Hey! Excuse me! I'm from the Reset Surveillance Center, and I need a few minutes of your time.I then started my walk around town. I met Molly by the bridge, and she said she wasn’t comfortable talking out in the public like this. Is she a secret agent or something? I thought Agent S was the spy.

Molly: You know, I'm not completely comfortable talking outside like this...But it turns out, she just wanted to visit my house–which was far less exciting than going on a secret mission. I showed her around, and she had to leave by the time we got to the basement. Or maybe her mission was complete once she saw where I kept the gold!

Molly: I think it's about time I head home.Over at the campsite, Patty the hamburger cow was camping out. We had a quick chat and it was nice to meat meet her, but I had no interest in asking her to move in.

Patty: I bet you weren't expecting to see super-stylish ME here! Actually, I wasn't expecting to be here either.Up at the Dream Suite, Luna told me that Chai from Teavana was my most recent dream visitor.

When I returned to town, Sprinkle wanted to play hide-and-seek. She said she was “totally ninja” when she hides.

Sprinkle: How about some hide-and-seek? I'm totally ninja when I hide, though, tiger!I had 15 minutes to find her, Rolf, and Agent S. I almost made a complete loop around town before I found someone; Rolf was hiding behind my zen bell.

Sprinkle hiding behind the modern clock. You call that being a ninja? Ninja, please.

I still had one more villager to find, Agent S. Since I didn’t see her anywhere in town, I figured she must be down on the beach. I found someone…but it was Gulliver! “Hey Gulliver, have you seen Agent S?”

Gulliver: From what I can remember, she perks her cucumber-like neck up from the lake just to mess with you. What? Agent S is in the lake? Actually, he was just talking about Nessie, the Loch Ness Monster. He’s headed to Scotland, so he asked me if he would look good in a kilt. I guess it wouldn’t hurt…it’s not like you wear pants anyway.

Gulliver: Think I'd look good with a kilt and bagpipes? I've been considering taking it up for a while...He’ll be sending me a gift from Scotland tomorrow. But for now, I continued my search for Agent S. Fortunately, it didn’t take long. She was hiding behind a banana tree.

Sprinkle: Either way, you get a victory prize for that, Sweet-J. So here's a birdhouse!

Proper Painting

This morning, I found Joan selling turnips for 106 bells apiece. That’s higher than usual, but I was able to buy 3,100 of them.

Joan: The asking price is 106 bells per turnip. What do you think, kiddo?Later on tonight, I found Octavian sitting on my metal bench. But he wasn’t taking a nap like he recently said he likes to do; he was just sitting and enjoying the cool, crisp evening.

Octavian: I'm just sitting here thinking about life while the night winds blow. Yeah, I can be poetic too!Up at the Dream Suite, Luna told me that Bek from Codytown was my most recent dream visitor.

Meanwhile, Amelia stole something out of Rolf’s mailbox! At least, that’s what I heard. Sort of. 😛

Amelia: I can't keep it! Everyone will say I took it from Rolf's mailbox! You KNOW how people talk!Actually it was delivered to Amelia by accident. Or so she claims. But I told her I’d return the package to Rolf regardless. But when I got to his house, he seemed a bit confused. I guess he’s his own guard dog.

Rolf: Woof woof!It turns out the package was really a gift meant for me. I opened it, and it was a deep-blue tank. I have like 300 of these already.

Rolf: You're the one who delivered it to me, so it's kind of silly, but here you go, tiger!I took a walk outside to clear my thoughts. I also took a look up at the moon and stars.

The moon and stars.By now, Octavian was in his house. He offered to sell me a proper painting for 3,136 bells. I needed that painting for the museum, so I took a chance on it.

Octavian: Before I knew it, I had spent a ton of money on this crazy-looking proper painting...I made my way towards the museum, but Agent S stopped me. She told me she had an elephant in her pocket! Actually, an elephant tee, but I was really hoping to see Big Top jump out of there.

Agent S: Hey, hey! Guess what I've got in my pockets right now? Yeah, it's an elephant tee!She offered to trade it for a simple armchair I had in my pockets, and I agreed to the exchange. After that, I made my way up to Main Street. But when I saw Canberra, I fell flat on my face! I wasn’t expecting to see a creature like that in the middle of the night!

Falling on my face on Main Street.I quickly walked around her (with a tight hold on my wallet) and went into the museum. Blathers told me that the proper painting was real!

Manet's last major work of art. The scene is mostly shown in the reflection in the mirror at the bar. Thanks for stopping by and I’ll see you all next time!
