The December fishing tournament was held today, and many of the villagers were participating, or at least talking about the event.
Amelia advised me to think like a fish. So I started making fish faces and saying “glub glub.”
But she warned me that if I started smelling like a fish, I’ve gone too far. So I sniffed myself to make sure. Good news: I smelled like a sweaty Santa. What a relief.
As I made my way around town, I dug up a gyroid. That in itself isn’t all that noteworthy, but this time I noticed that it was a tootoid…a farting gyroid. I chose not to sniff it.
But the reason the tootoid caught my attention was that I’ve long wanted a fourth tootoid to put in Club LOL. And now I have it. UPDATE: Actually, it turns out the third one is a mini dekkoid…so I still need one more tootoid. My bad!
Back in town, I found two snowballs not too far from each other. I wanted to build a (bingo) snowman, but I made it too small and ended up with a snowboy instead. The good news was that he was perfect, so he’ll be sending me a piece of snowman furniture in the mail tomorrow.
Once I completed my walk around town, I went to get some fish for Chip. I caught one sea bass, but I mainly just used fish I already had at my dock box. I set the high score five times. Here’s a list of the fish I used, how big they were, and my reward for each:
- sea bass, 34.95 inches — washbasin
- sea bass, 37.75 inches — soda case
- ribbon eel, 49.50 inches — crab clock
- shark, 200.80 inches — exotic bureau
- whale shark, 234.20 inches — sleek dresser
So four of my five prizes were just regular furniture items. Disappointing.
Later on, I attended the ceremony, where I was awarded the gold fishing trophy. Agent S finished in second place, while Amelia came in third.
Shortly before 9:00, I spotted the northern lights for the first time this winter.
I then finished up my night with K.K.; he performed Surfin’ K.K. for me at Club LOL.
Note: Kira from Kamui was my most recent dream visitor. Thanks for stopping by!
