Today is the winter solstice, the longest night (and shortest day) of the year. In Animal Crossing: New Leaf, this fact is taken to the extreme: The sun doesn’t come out at all! Here’s a look at Forest shortly before noon today:
I also noticed that more of the trees have Christmas lights now. Only one of these two trees had lights when the lights first appeared last Monday.
Joan was selling turnips for 106 bells each this morning. But since some of my storage space still had items left over from redecorating my house, I only bought 2,000 turnips instead of my usual 3,000+.
Once evening came around, Molly informed me of something that was painfully obvious by now: The sun won’t be coming up today.
I tried to make a perfect snowmam, but I guess I didn’t make the base the right size. I ended up with a snowtyke instead. He was looking for his brother and father, but I have no use for him. Sorry, little guy!
Isabelle was at the event plaza to celebrate the winter solstice. She was one chilly dog.
She gave me a glow wand so that I could find my way around in the dark. Unfortunately, it doesn’t really work that way. But it does look pretty cool.
I also stuck my face into the holiday standee. I’m the snowman that’s hanging out with the three headless people.
After making my way around town, I headed up to Main Street. I updated my dream town, and Luna told me that Julia from Panem was my most recent dream visitor.
Remember, there’s only a few days left to get your Toy Day hints from your villagers. Are you ready for Christmas Eve? I’ll see you all next time. 🙂
