Redecorating the House

Re-Tail was buying turnips for 111 bells each today. That’s literally only two bells higher than what I paid for them on Sunday. However, the prices have been all over the place this week, so I’m not feeling very confident that they’re going to get any better tomorrow. And since tomorrow is the last day to sell them, I decided to go ahead and cash out now, just so I don’t lose any money.

Reese: Currently, I'm buying each turnip for 111 bells. Thanks to no longer being on the beautiful town ordinance, I had a bunch of wilted black roses yesterday that I watered with my golden watering can. As a result, I had a bunch of new gold roses today.

New gold roses!Over by the metal bridge, Octavian started talking about my exotic chest.

Octavian: Hey! I heard someone talking about your exotic chest. He apparently liked the look of my exotic chest, so he asked me to give up the goods. He couldn’t wait to wrap his tentacles around it. Unfortunately, he only paid me 540 bells. I feel so violated.

Octavian: How would you feel about giving up the goods? Say, for 540 bells?I built another snowmam today, but it wasn’t a perfect one. I think I made the head a bit too big.

Snowmam: Pardon my inquisitiveness, but you wouldn't happen to have any snowflakes on you, would you?And by my western bridge, Molly wished me a Merry Duckmas.

Molly: Merry Duckmas! How can I help, waddle?Tom invited me over, so I headed off to Tomville. His friends Pichi and Vanessa were also there. Tom was having trouble ejecting something, but I was afraid to ask what he was talking about.

Tom41: It won't let me eject it.I went into his Re-Tail to sell seven baskets of perfect peaches; that earned me 189,000 bells. Once Tom showed his face, I saw that he was dressed up as me! But I’m the real Santa, ho ho ho!

Tom41: Hey impostor. But this Santa gave me some devil horns! What are you trying to say?

Trying on the red-horned hat.Actually Tom was just letting me catalog the red-horned hat. After I gave it back, the clock struck 11:00. Tom quickly told us to “Scram!” (first he’s Santa, then the devil, and now he’s Resetti apparently) and he ended the session before I had a chance to type out goodbye. Back in my town, I went up to the Emporium to see if the red-horned hat could be ordered; it can.

Red-horned hat - 2,400 bells.I ordered one, and I also bought a stuffed stocking that Timmy had for sale on the second floor.

Timmy: Ah, a stuffed stocking! A fine item, yes?I then saw that Ash was online. I had a Libra scale I ordered for her a while back, so I headed over to her town Hazakura to drop it off. Once I got there, I was trying to figure out what she was wearing…birthday shades. Today is her birthday, so happy birthday Ash! 🙂

Ash wearing birthday shades. We talked for a couple minutes and then I returned home. Later on, I checked the Dream Suite, and Luna told me that Amy from Wonka was my most recent dream visitor.

I then decided it was time to redecorate my house at long last. My main room is now home to the ice set. It also has a few Christmas decorations, including the stuffed stocking I bought earlier.

Ice furniture in my house. And you can say goodbye to my creepy room in the back, because that stuff is dead and buried. Actually it’s in the museum now, but my back room now has the gorgeous furniture set. The only leftover item is the Metroid, which I decided to keep there for some reason.

Gorgeous furniture in my back room. You can also wave goodbye to my modern wood room on the right. I moved my emerald-customized modern furniture (that was in my main room) here. Most of my villager pictures also followed along. The modern set has many flat surfaces that are great for pictures and other table-top items.

My emerald modern furniture room.My other three rooms remain mostly unchanged. Just moving these three rooms around took me a couple of hours, so that’s all the redecorating I’m going to do for now. But I made a video tour of my house so you can see the whole thing.

Thanks for visiting, and have a great weekend!

A Wishy Washer

I got a letter from Wishy the shooting star today; it contained a deluxe washer. That’s not what I wished for! Shooting stars can be so wishy-washy!

Saharah was in town, so I paid her to redecorate my main room. She put in this chain-link fence and music-room floor.

A chain-link fence and music-room floor.Agent S told me she was moving out on December 23rd, but I quickly made her change her mind.

Agent S: Probably on the 23rd of this month. Seems like super-good timing for me, up a tree.Sorry for the short update today. I’ll be back with a longer entry tomorrow.

Wishing on a Winter Star

There was a meteor shower tonight, so I stopped to wish on a shooting star. Yes, Santa can make wishes too.

Santa wishes on a shooting star.Amelia asked me for a piece of fruit, and she promised to make it worth my while. Ooh, sounds good!

Amelia: Thanks, Jeff. I'll make it worth your while.I gave her a perfect pear, which exceeded her expectations. As for my reward? Well…

Amelia: I really owe you for that. So here's a well.I also ran into Kabuki tonight, and he thanked me for the medicine I got for him the other day (as Aurora was snooping in our conversation). He gave me a ranch wall for my trouble.

Kabuki: You took good care of me, and now I've made a full recovery!Up at the Dream Suite, Luna told me that Katelyn from Brookton was my most recent dream visitor.

Crazy Redd was in town, and he had a real motherly statue for sale. I didn’t need it, so Wendy come over to buy it.

Wendy arrives in Forest.Kabuki took notice of the meteor shower, but he couldn’t decide what to wish for. So he didn’t wish at all.

Kabuki: Even if I made a wish, I got so many things to wish for I couldn't pick just one thing. Thanks to the Night Owl ordinance, I was actually able to shop at the stores today! GracieGrace had the gorgeous counter for sale, and that was the only piece of the set that I didn’t buy last year. So I snatched it up today for 180,000 bells.

Gracie: A gorgeous counter? You have exquisite taste, darling!Wendy was catching some snowflakes and trading them for ice furniture, thanks to my snowmam. Wendy didn’t play much last winter, so the snowpeople rewards are pretty new to her. We also stopped in my house, where we were blowing on my bagpipes.

Me and Wendy blowing on bagpipes.I’ve been thinking about redecorating my house for the first time in about a year, but my lack of pocket space (and storage space) discouraged me. Maybe once I sell my turnips for the week, I can try to change up a room or two.
