I saw that perfect oranges were today’s premium item at Re-Tail, so I made sure to tell Squishy, the notorious orange smuggler. She brought her stash and sold them at my Re-Tail.
I also told Tom, since he has an orange town too, and he came over as well. We hung out for a few minutes, and they caught some snowflakes and visited with my snowpeople. But then Tom suggested we all go over to his town for a bit. Tom’s friend Aggie also joined me and Squishy in Tomville. I checked Tom’s snowmen, and they all had numbers I needed (even though I didn’t get a bingo).
All four of us went into Chip’s tent to witness the awards ceremony for the Tomville fishing tournament. Caroline won 1st place, Peggy finished in 2nd place, and Tammi brought up the rear. Unfortunately, the game made me clap for them.
I sold some perfect peaches in Tom’s Re-Tail, and then Tom invited us all to Club LOL to watch K.K. perform. But Tom didn’t wait for us to get there before starting the song.
So Squishy and I just danced for Tom and Aggie.
Tom then ended the session and sent us all home. Today was the last day to sell turnips, and my price was only 56 bells or so. Tom’s was even worse, so I asked Squishy if she could check her prices. Her Re-Tail was paying 130 bells, so she let me sell my turnips there. I thought I was going to lose money for the week, but Squishy saved me and I earned a profit after all! Thanks, Squishy!
Her town Cosmic is just as awesome as ever.
As soon as I returned to Forest, I found Phineas right there waiting for me! He gave me the World Traveler (silver) badge for visiting lots of towns. That was a nice surprise!
Here’s an updated look at my current badges.
Up on Main Street, Luna told me that Kenzie from Mystic was my most recent dream visitor. And in the Emporium, I see that my former villager Teddy has now started appearing in the shopping district. It’s good to see him again.
And after all that, I finally got to participate in the fishing tournament. The goal of today’s competition was to catch the biggest horse mackerel. I went fishing and caught a couple of them. One of them was 19.20 inches, which beat out Octavian’s fish for the top spot. Chip rewarded me with a jellyfish lamp.
Later on, I found that my fish remained in the top spot and I won the tournament! By that time, Drago had also surpassed Octavian for the 2nd spot. I made sure to attend the prize ceremony, although Chip said he’ll have to mail my trophy to me since my pockets were full.
Afterwards, Drago told me that he was planning on moving out of town on January 22nd. But I talked him out of it.
I then wrapped up my night by taking a look at my jellyfish lamp in my museum exhibit. It’s up on the wall.
