Making Stops on Main Street

It was snowing as I started up the game today. Joan was selling turnips for 105 bells each, and I bought 3,100 of them.

Joan: The asking price is 105 bells per turnip. What do you think, kiddo?Later on, I went in to visit Octavian and I was surprised to find Molly was also there visiting him. For some reason, it’s hard to imagine the two of them having much in common.

Octavian: Hey, it's you! Toothless! Molly is here too, so we can all hang out together!
Who are you calling toothless, octopunk?

Poor little Molly was a bit envious that Octavian seemed to be so popular. I’m sure you have more friends than he does, ducky.

Molly: Octavian must be very popular. I'm...just a little bit envious, tiger.Chip sent me my gold fish trophy in the mail, and I took it up to my trophy room on the second floor of the museum. But that room is filling up, so I might have to stop saving all the trophies I get. (The other half of the room has my extra villager pictures).

My trophy room.I stayed on Main Street for a while, because I had several stops to make. Of course I updated my dream town, and then I went into the post office. When I put the day’s money into the bank, my balance reached 32 million bells.

Your current balance is 32,000,000 bells. In the Happy Homes Showcase, Ash from Idiris gave me an indigo pinwheel. This was actually from a StreetPass I got last week, but I forgot to check the HHS until today.

Ash: I'm Ash from Idiris. My home is over at North 5. Run you clever boy.I then checked my storage (and Able Sisters) for a good long-sleeve winter shirt. However, I didn’t find any that I wanted to wear, so I went to the Emporium and ordered this blue flannel shirt. I also ditched my blue cap and sporty shades, so I’ll be appropriately dressed for winter as of tomorrow.

Blue flannel shirt - 420 bells.

January Fishing Tournament

I saw that perfect oranges were today’s premium item at Re-Tail, so I made sure to tell Squishy, the notorious orange smuggler. She brought her stash and sold them at my Re-Tail.

A giant-sized Jeff in Re-Tail.I also told Tom, since he has an orange town too, and he came over as well. We hung out for a few minutes, and they caught some snowflakes and visited with my snowpeople. But then Tom suggested we all go over to his town for a bit. Tom’s friend Aggie also joined me and Squishy in Tomville. I checked Tom’s snowmen, and they all had numbers I needed (even though I didn’t get a bingo).

Tom's creepy snowmen. All four of us went into Chip’s tent to witness the awards ceremony for the Tomville fishing tournament. Caroline won 1st place, Peggy finished in 2nd place, and Tammi brought up the rear. Unfortunately, the game made me clap for them.

Caroline wins the Tomville fishing tournament.I sold some perfect peaches in Tom’s Re-Tail, and then Tom invited us all to Club LOL to watch K.K. perform. But Tom didn’t wait for us to get there before starting the song.

Aggie: Rude puppy. So Squishy and I just danced for Tom and Aggie.

Me and Squishy dancing in Club LOL.Tom then ended the session and sent us all home. Today was the last day to sell turnips, and my price was only 56 bells or so. Tom’s was even worse, so I asked Squishy if she could check her prices. Her Re-Tail was paying 130 bells, so she let me sell my turnips there. I thought I was going to lose money for the week, but Squishy saved me and I earned a profit after all! Thanks, Squishy!

Reese: Currently, I'm buying each turnip for 130 bells. Her town Cosmic is just as awesome as ever.

Re-Tail in Cosmic. As soon as I returned to Forest, I found Phineas right there waiting for me! He gave me the World Traveler (silver) badge for visiting lots of towns. That was a nice surprise!

I got the World Traveler badge! I can't even count the times I've traveled to other towns! Here’s an updated look at my current badges.

My badge collection as of January 17, 2015.Up on Main Street, Luna told me that Kenzie from Mystic was my most recent dream visitor. And in the Emporium, I see that my former villager Teddy has now started appearing in the shopping district. It’s good to see him again.

Teddy: Well, Jeff, I ended up here again after going jogging. And after all that, I finally got to participate in the fishing tournament. The goal of today’s competition was to catch the biggest horse mackerel. I went fishing and caught a couple of them. One of them was 19.20 inches, which beat out Octavian’s fish for the top spot. Chip rewarded me with a jellyfish lamp.

Chip: Oh, that's right! Let me give you a jellyfish lamp in honor of your new record! Great!Later on, I found that my fish remained in the top spot and I won the tournament! By that time, Drago had also surpassed Octavian for the 2nd spot. I made sure to attend the prize ceremony, although Chip said he’ll have to mail my trophy to me since my pockets were full.

Celebrating a fishing tournament win.Afterwards, Drago told me that he was planning on moving out of town on January 22nd. But I talked him out of it.

Drago: What?! Now, how can I leave after hearing you beg me like that?I then wrapped up my night by taking a look at my jellyfish lamp in my museum exhibit. It’s up on the wall.

Sprinkle’s Pic

Yesterday, Quillson was camping out in an igloo at the campsite. I did not invite him to move into town.

Quillson: My name's Quillson. I'm just passing through on a camping trip. And this evening, Madisyn invited me over to her town Johto. I stopped by for a bit; her friends Alex and Cedric were also there. Cedric was trying to win the crane game, but he wasn’t having much luck with it.

Cedric: I WANT PIKACHU.I was getting hungry, so I stopped for a snack.

Jeff: DON'T SNEEZE ON MY FOOD.Once we went outside, everyone started hitting me with toy hammers. Unfortunately, I left my ham(mer) at home. (I ended up fighting with my net instead).

Jeff: I left my ham at home.By the way, Madisyn’s town is about two months in the future, so that’s why there’s no snow there. At one point, Alex went home and Gavin came over to take his spot. We all hung out for a bit, but I decided to leave around 8:40 or so, and Madisyn ended the session.

Hanging out in Johto.Jessica was online, and I had a minimalist vanity for her, so I dropped it off at her town. She immediately asked why I was wearing a T-shirt in winter.

Jeff: DON'T JUDGE ME.Honestly, I haven’t even thought about it. Maybe I’ll change into some warmer clothes one of these days. Anyway, she showed me the house of a villager (Olivia) who moved in right on her path. We tried to chop down Olivia’s house, but we weren’t having much success.

Trying to chop down the house. At one point, Jessica called me a dangerous animal for some reason!

Jessica: Jeff is a dangerous animal!I was so insulted that she would suggest such a ridiculous thing, that I bit her. And gave her rabies.

Jessica: I HAZ RABIES 2.We were going to bite Olivia and give her rabies as well, but I had to go.

Later on, I returned to the game. Sprinkle asked me for some furniture, and I gave her a customized blue wardrobe. She thanked me and rewarded me with her picture! But the picture seems to indicate that her name is Sprinkles, not Sprinkle. Interesting.

Sprinkle: It's Sprinkles's pic! Thanks so much! After working a shift at the Roost, I returned home to take a look at her picture. Her favorite quote is “Frosting is just the icing on the cake.” It’s taken six months to get her picture, but better late than never. The next time she asks to move, I’m going to let her go.

Quote on Sprinkle's pic: Frosting is just the icing on the cake.I then went up to the Dream Suite to update my dream town. Luna told me that Mike from Fort was the most recent dream visitor. By the way, when I checked yesterday, the most recent visitor was Ray from Raytopia.

After returning from Main Street, I built a snowmam. Unlike the snowmam I built last time, this one was perfect and only required three snowflakes for ice furniture. I already had six snowflakes burning a hole in my pockets, so I got two pieces of furniture right off the bat.

Snowmam: This balance... I'm perfect! One of my villagers told me Rolf was thinking of moving out, so I had to hunt down the elusive white tiger. Once I found him, I was able to make him stay.

Rolf: Oh, you're gonna try and stop me?!I’ll be back with another blog entry tomorrow. It’ll be fishing tournament day! Have a great weekend, everyone!
