April Showers

Rolf asked me for some furniture today, and without even thinking about it, I accidentally gave him a yellow butterfly I had caught just moments before. It turned out good though, because he liked it so much that he gave me his picture.

Rolf: Take my Rolf's pic. Consider it a thank-you gift!It was raining off-and-on in Forest this evening, so I got a break from watering my flowers. Surprisingly, Kabuki told me he loved the rain. Most cats don’t seem to like water, but Kabuki is clearly an exception.

Kabuki: Rain makes you feel ALIVE! But it makes things a little slippery, so watch your step, yarnball.Up at the Dream Suite tonight, Luna told me that Ray from Quelvrin was my most recent dream visitor. When I checked yesterday, it was GoGo from the town of RudyLove.

I took a boat ride out to the island for some touring. I went on a couple of giant dragonfly tours. If you catch ten of the large dragonflies in seven minutes, you earn 20 medals!

Tortimer: That's enough to net you a Gold Tortimer award and 20 medals! After returning to the mainland, I found out that Aurora was sick. So I headed up to the Emporium and bought some medicine for her. Get well soon!

Carp Banner – Nintendo Zone DLC

Yesterday, I went in to check out Daisy’s house, now that she’s all unpacked.

Daisy: The strawberry jam my mom would make for us! I liked eating it on top of her freshly baked bread.I ended up losing money on turnips yesterday, so I didn’t bother buying any new ones today.

It was raining by the time I started up the game tonight, and Big Top didn’t seem very pleased.

Big Top: It was a dark and stormy night... And it's still a dark and stormy night.Merka came over to collect petition signatures (and also to shop). Today is her birthday, so happy birthday, Merka! I helped her celebrate by giving her a birthday slap…with an axe. Am I doing it wrong?

Hitting Merka with an axe for her birthday.Rolf told me that he was going to be moving out of town on April 15th. Not so fast, tiger.

Rolf: Hey, are you trying to stop me from going or something?I started up the game again later, and Pete met me outside my house with a letter from Nintendo. Today through April 25th, a carp banner will be available at Nintendo Zone locations (at least in America).

From 4/12 to 4/25, the carp banner is available via Nintendo Zone!I made sure to pick mine up…

Pelly: Sorry to keep you waiting! I hope you enjoy your new carp banner!I put it in my gorgeous furniture room. It looks like the outdoor windsocks that can be seen in the GameCube version of Animal Crossing in early May. (Check out this video to see them).

The carp banner DLC.The carp banner can be ordered from the catalog for just 2,020 bells.

Daisy’s Arrival & April FNF

Today was Daisy’s moving-in day. Her house is a bit boxy, but cute. From here, you can see Aurora’s house on the left and Big Top’s house on the right.

Daisy's house sandwiched between the homes of Aurora and Big Top.Of course, I went inside to welcome her to Forest.

Daisy: I hope you're not surprised to see me, Jeff. As promised, I've moved here from Bribs.I updated my dream town early in the evening, and Luna told me my most recent dream visitor was James from Vanilois.

At 10:00 tonight, I opened up my gate for Friday Night Forest. BranDex and Squishy came over to visit. We headed to Daisy’s house so they could meet my newest villager. While we were in there, Merka also dropped by.

Me and my visitors saying hello to Daisy. There seemed to be a lot of cherry blossom petals falling tonight–more than I saw during the day. Or maybe they just show up better at night.

Cherry blossom petals falling from the night sky.We headed out to the island and went on a market-price-bug tour. We won the gold Tortimer award and 8 medals. Merka got first place and I got second place…that earned me an additional 4 medals.

Celebrating a successful island tour. However, as I started a second tour, we got disconnected. So I’m not sure if we got credit for that first tour or not.

I reopened my gate; BranDex and Merka returned, but Squishy did not. In her place, TZ joined in about ten minutes later. She hadn’t visited in a long time, but she informed us that she was still alive.

TZ tells us she's alive. We started talking about upcoming games and Amiibos. I bought a cup of coffee from Brewster and enjoyed it while sitting on my bench.

Drinking coffee on my bench. After a while, we all ended up by the train station as we continued talking about games.

Hanging out by the train station. We were talking about something that was kind of like a tongue twister (I forget what it was exactly), and TZ said her tongue was in knots. I suggested that her tongue turned into a pretzel. 😛

Jeff: preTZelMerka left shortly after 11:00, and I ended the session about 20 minutes later when TZ was about to leave anyway. Thanks to everyone who came! Have a good weekend everyone, and I’ll see you next time!
