Uninvited Guest

Last night, Agent S asked me to find a butterfly for her…in her tail!

Agent S: Because I totally adore butterflies, and I'm hoping you can find one for me, in my tail!Tonight, Saharah was in town. I paid her for some new wallpaper and carpet, and she installed a sporty wall and a tatami.

A sporty wall and a tatami. After changing everything back, Dizzy barged into my house for an unplanned visit. I hate these things…as you can probably tell by the look on my face.

Dizzy: Woohoo! Here I am!He gave me a chalkboard, but I just sat down until he left.

Dizzy: Why do you have that confused look on your face? We were supposed to hang out today, right?
No. No, we were not.

Up at the Dream Suite, Luna told me that Baxter from Forest was my most recent dream visitor.

I took a trip out to the island, like I’ve been doing pretty regularly lately. I went on a couple of elite-class fishing tours to earn some medals before ending my night.

Tortimer: WHOA! You're a master angler! You've earned a Gold Tortimer award and 12 medals!Just to let you know, I’m still working on the New Leaf 2nd Year in Pictures slideshow. It’s taking me longer than expected (I had 6,000+ pictures to go through), but I haven’t forgotten about it. So please stay tuned for that.

Have a good weekend, everyone.

Dreaming of Charvale

Last night, Daisy tried to tell me she was moving out of town on May 16th. She’s only been in town for about a month; she’s not going anywhere!

Daisy: Maybe it isn't the right time to move after all. Thanks for helping me realize that, Jeff.At the campsite, I found Deli the monkey camping out once again. Deli was already camping here in March. Not to mention he camped here once last year as well.

Deli: I'll be seeing you around for a little bit, monch.Today, Rolf asked me for a peach and I gave him a perfect one. He loved it, and he rewarded me with a paper wall lamp.

Rolf: Oooo, snaps! I'm gonna dig right in!I decided to make a dream visit to Merka’s previous town, Charvale. Her dream hadn’t been updated since December 2013, so it wasn’t exactly how I remembered it, but it was nice to see it once again.

Skye: Currently displaying clouds.Charvale was very much still a work-in-progress in 2013, so it doesn’t reflect how nice it would later become. Still, parts of town looked really good with the paths and flowers.

Pretty paths and flowers in Charvale.Of course I took the opportunity to chat with Biskit.

Biskit: Charvale is the sweetest town. It's like a dream come true! Have fun exploring it, dawg.If you’d like to visit Charvale, the dream address is 7800-3247-9305.

Once I woke up from my dream, I also updated my own dream town. Luna told me that my most recent dream visitor was Joel from Willowby. Yesterday’s visitor was Sherina from Oasis.

I then took the boat out to the island, where the giant-dragonfly tour was available today. I played it a few times to earn some medals.

Tortimer: That's enough to net you a Gold Tortimer award and 20 medals!Once I returned to Forest, I found Gulliver on the beach. He was talking about Hollywood and Broadway; he was dreaming of becoming an actor. He’ll be sending me a gift from the USA tomorrow.

Gulliver: But now I'm thinking Broadway is calling me to star in a musical! So many choices! U-S-A! U-S-A!

General’s Fan (Nintendo Zone DLC)

When I started up the game today, Pete handed me a letter from Nintendo. It was a fan letter! In a way. Now through May 23rd, the general’s fan is available as a download at Nintendo Zone locations. It’s an item that was previously only available in the Japanese version of the game.

Pete: I have an express delivery for you from Nintendo. From 5/10 to 5/23, the general's fan is available via Nintendo Zone!I made sure to pick up my general’s fan at the post office.

Pelly: Sorry to keep you waiting! I hope you enjoy your new general's fan!I still wasn’t sure exactly what the item was, so I headed to the Emporium to look at it in the catalog. Unfortunately, it’s not a fan that you can hold in your hand–it’s a furniture item, and an odd one at that. On the bright side, it can be ordered from the catalog for just 1,600 bells.

General's fan - 1,600 bells.I put it in my house to see if it did anything, but no luck. It’s just for decoration.

Back in Town…

I met up with Daisy, and she offered to sell me a sand dollar! It’s not very often villagers will give you seashells.

Daisy: Hey, Jeff... Can I interest you in a sand dollar?Aurora asked me to play a game of hide-and-seek. I had ten minutes to find two penguins and a duck.

Aurora: If you can find all of us within 10 minutes, you win!Sprinkle was the first bird I found, with a horrible hiding spot “behind” the Sphinx. In reality, she was completely visible.

Sprinkle trying to hide behind the arm of the Sphinx. And yet she thought her hiding place was perfect! Perhaps she had a brain freeze.

Sprinkle: What?! But my hiding place was perfect, ice cube!I then found Molly hiding behind Daisy’s house and Aurora was hiding behind a tree near the fountain.

Aurora peeking out from behind a tree.Aurora gave me a CD shelf for finding them all before time ran out.

Later, Merka came over for a short visit and then I also went to her town for a while. I sold a bunch of perfect peaches and then we headed out for the island. When I told Kapp’n not to sing, he called me a shanty hater!

Kapp'n: Gar... Really? No shanties? A shanty hater, ye are...We went on a bunch of advanced price-fishing tours, earning gold Tortimer awards every time except once. (The one time we failed, we missed by gold by only 125 bells). But we racked up a bunch of medals.

Tortimer: WHOA! You're a master angler! You've earned a Gold Tortimer award and 12 medals!Once we reached the threshold for gold Tortimer awards, we got axes from Lloid the gyroid and started cutting down trees.

Me and Merka cutting down trees.
I’m a lumberjeff.

I don’t think I’ve ever gone on as many consecutive tours as we did tonight. I wasn’t keeping track of how many medals we earned…so if you asked me for the exact number, I would be stumped.
