Tom is now officially a former resident of Forest, and I got his goodbye letter in the mail today. The good news is that he sent me his picture! I was afraid that he wouldn’t send it, since his stay in Forest was fairly short.
I put it in my house, although some of my rooms are getting overrun with villager pictures. I may need to start putting some of them into storage one of these days.
Tom’s favorite quote is “There’s no use crying over spilled milk.” I guess that could be applied to him leaving town without giving me a chance to stop him. He’s a cool cat, and I’ll miss him, but that will let another animal move into town. And I do still have him in my GameCube town, at least.
For the first time since Velma moved into town, she pinged me! I thought she was finally going to suggest a public works project for me. But no, she only wanted to visit my house. I told her no.
There was a tent set up at the campsite, so of course I went in to see was visiting. I actually have two vacancies in Forest now. But the camper was Bunnie, and I wasn’t interested in her taking up one of those spots.
Big Top asked me to catch a butterfly fish for him, so I went to the ocean to do some fishing. About six or seven fish later, I caught what I was looking for.
I took it back to Big Top, and he thanked me by giving me a crossing shirt. It’s always disappointing to get a shirt as a reward, but I guess it’s better than stationery.
