Dizzy came up to me today and told me that he smelled a yellow butterfly! Wow, how good is his sniffer if he can not only smell a butterfly, but know what color it is? Impressive.
Up at Able Sisters, I saw a checkerboard tee for sale. Since I wasn’t wearing any regular clothes lately (just a pattern), I decided to buy it and put it on. This is one of several shirts I sometimes wear in the GameCube game.
Pashmina asked me for some fruit tonight. She gave an interesting reason for not being able to get it herself: She said a recent bee sting had a negative impact on her tree-shaking skills. Hey, at least she tried to come up with a decent excuse.
I gave her a perfect cherry, and she gave me a polka-dot dresser in return.
Merka came over tonight and we went on a giant dragonfly tour. We had no trouble catching the 20 bugs we needed for 20 medals (plus a bonus). After that, Merka and I decided to do some glitching. We glitched onto the tracks, off the bridge, and into the void.
We explored under the town, including a look at an unconscious Gulliver. I never bothered to wake him up.
You can get some really nice photos from down there, because there aren’t any human characters getting in the way. Here are pictures I took of Peck, the police station, and my fountain.
I also took this unusual picture of my gold roses and my path. The weird part is that you can’t see the ground.
I returned to solid ground by accident; I stumbled into my pitfall that I had buried on my private beach. After being underground for so long, coming out of a hole in the sand felt like I was being born. I guess that makes me a son of a beach.
I’ll need to remember to replace that pitfall tomorrow, so that new pitfalls won’t pop up around town. When Merka was done exploring, I dug a hole on the beach so she could be born too. Congratulations, it’s a Merka!
Since Merka “accidentally” killed one of my gold roses, we purposely disconnected when we were done instead of saving and quitting. She invited me over to her town for a bit while she worked on her town. While there, I found a lost item on the ground. I tried to see if I could find its owner, but it wouldn’t let me.
Merka has a lot of flowers in her town; Bribs is looking good! It doesn’t get much more colorful than this.
As Merka werked worked, I went around catching butterflies and talking to her villagers.
I offered to help out by digging up many of the buried items she had around town. I found quite a few gyroids!
Once it was time for Merka to have lunch (she’s 14 hours ahead of me), she ended the session and I returned home. Before ending my night, I put a large glowing ornament on top of my Christmas tree. Okay, not exactly. 😛
Remember, Bunny Day (aka Easter) is coming up on Sunday. If you need a refresher on how it works, check out my Bunny Day Guide. And if you’re interested, Beth has submitted a nice bunny path to the QR Codes page.
Also, stay tuned to JVGS in the next few days. I’ll be posting a new Amiibo Festival blog entry on Jeff’s Gaming Blog and I’ll also be posting a new Dream Suite Adventure! I’ll be visiting a very cool and unique town! See you soon!
Seems like you had fun 😀 Merka’s town looks beautiful! Thanks for mentioning the QR code, Jeff. Looking forward to seeing the new stuff on JVGS!
Wow nice town Merka! Jeff how do you do the glitching trick?
Are you familiar with the net glitch? Do the net glitch to get onto the tracks first, then go east to the bridge, face north, and do it again. Once you’re in the water, go north as far as you can, and then do it one more time until you plunge down again. At that point, you’ll be in the “void” under your town. When you swing your net, you’ll temporarily see the town above you. You can go just about anywhere under your town. It’s fun to explore!
