3 Holidays, 1 Week

It has been a week full of holidays and events in Animal Crossing: New Leaf. It started on Sunday (Easter), with Bunny Day. I only played for a bit, and it was late at night, but I spoke with Zipper T. Bunny and acquired a few pieces of egg furniture.

Zipper: Let's look for eggs! Let's look for eggs! They're hiding, so hunt if you dare!

Monday was Nature Day (aka Earth Day), and Isabelle gave me a cool globe for the occasion.

Isabelle: It's a cool globe! Please take it and never forget the importance of a clean town!

I went over to the face-cutout standee and hugged a globe with a headless girl.

And today was Weeding Day (in America, at least). I met up with Leif at the event plaza.

Leif: It's the last Friday of April...and that means it's Weeding Day!

Weeding Day is all about pulling weeds and cleaning up town. But Forest didn’t have any weeds to pull, so I automatically qualified for the Town Cleanup Prize. Leif gave me a violet screen, which he claimed to make himself.

Leif: This violet screen! Handmade, I should add, by yours truly! I hope you like it.

I put it in my house, and it looks really cool. I like it.

Jeff displays the violet screen in Animal Crossing: New Leaf, near his Metroid.

When I checked out Claudia’s house, I was quite surprised at what I saw. Well, my first thought was that her house is really crowded. But then I noticed not one, but two pieces of gorgeous furniture!

Claudia's house in Animal Crossing: New Leaf.

For a moment, I wondered if Merka had really spoiled Claudia. But that didn’t make sense, because she didn’t like Claudia either. However, it turns out that Claudia came that way. Merka just failed to steal the furniture before she moved out. Now I’ll have to try to steal it for myself.

My villagers were talking about Weeding Day, and Lolly thanked me for taking care of the weeds.

Lolly: Pulling up weeds is boring, but it's a necessary chore. Thanks for taking care of it.

If you haven’t yet seen my latest video, please give it a watch. It showcases 43 Animal Crossing villagers (and islanders) that still haven’t returned to the series. It includes a punk rocker sheep named Woolio, Pigleg the pirate pig, and a curiously-named anteater called Nosegay. Maybe we’ll see some of these animals return on Switch!

My recent dream visitors have been Angie from Moss, Marlene from Wien, and Ryan from Hyrule. Thanks for stopping by, and have a great weekend!

Wearing Out My Welcome

I recently found Donkey Kong Al camping at the campground. I wouldn’t want him to live in my town, but I’ll allow him to camp here. 😛

Al: You're from this town, aren't you?

I spotted Lolly tonight, which is not something I do every day. She called me a bell-pincher, she asked me for a new catchphrase, and I talked with her over and over. Until she got tired of chatting with me, of course.

Lolly: Let's chat later, in 5 years.
I guess I wore out my welcome.

I went over to Club LOL, and I found Daisy and Velma there. Velma said she was there looking for a microscope? She’s not a very good liar.

Velma: I was actually hoping to find a microscope...but I've spent most of my time window shopping.

I asked K.K. Slider for a random song, and he performed K.K. Tango.

K.K.: Enough tuning--let's groove. This next one is for you, Jeff. It's called K.K. Tango.

Back in town, I saw that the entrance to the Reset Surveillance Center was open, so I dropped in for a visit. Resetti wasn’t there, but I tried to chat with Don. But even though I talked to him five times, this is all he would say:

Don: Try not to overwork yourself.
Coming down here felt like a waste of time.

Tomorrow is Bunny Day. I don’t plan on taking part in the festivities, but good luck to you if you’re giving it a go. Check out my Bunny Day Guide if you need any help, or want to check the full list of egg furniture to make sure you didn’t miss anything.

Also, I saw on the bulletin board that Weeding Day is coming up on April 26th (Friday) in America. I’ll have to try to remember to check it out.

My recent dream visitors have been Luke from Luke’s, De from Mag Mell, and Allison from Linville. Thanks for stopping by!

Hornsby’s Handwear

Yesterday, I found a lost mitten on the ground. Fortunately, it belonged to the first person I asked about it: Hornsby! He gave me a jagged tee for helping him out.

Hornsby: Oooh! You found my mitten!
I guess you could say I gave him a hand.

The April fishing tournament was held today, but of course I missed it. But I saw on the bulletin board that Aurora was the winner, Rolf finished in 2nd place, and Claudia was 3rd.

I spoke with Vivian, and she told me about a dream she had. She said there was a person named Gracie who was a stump maker! Naturally, I thought of Gracie the giraffe.

Vivian: There was this person named Gracie who was kind of a stump maker.
Hmmm… wasn’t Gracie male in the Japanese games?
Vivian: I howled! I wonder if I'll ever see them again...

Up at Club LOL, Peck told me that he just went jogging! I don’t think I believe him. 😉

Peck: Well, Jeff, I ended up here again after going jogging.
Why didn’t you just fly?

I asked K.K. Slider to play a random song, and he performed The K. Funk for me, Peck, and Tom.

K.K. Slider performs at Club LOL.

According to Luna, my recent dream visitors have been Hoolee from Choo Box and Gracie from Scranton. So I guess it wasn’t Gracie the giraffe after all. 😉 Thanks for stopping by, and have a great day!
