Zodiac Rat 2020

Last night was New Year’s Eve. Isabelle was standing next to a large countdown clock at the event plaza, and she gave me a glass of sparkling cider.

Crazy Redd was also there, and I bought a blue New Year’s hat from him.

However, I didn’t stay for the final countdown. But I picked up the game again today, and Isabelle was again standing at the event plaza. She said she’s been thinking about mice, so she got some mice decorations.

Isabelle: This year, I had mice on my mind, so I got some mouse decorations to celebrate. Hey, why not?
Are you sure you’re a dog, not a cat?

So she gave me a zodiac rat; 2020 is the year of the rat on the Chinese zodiac. This is what it looks like:

At the event plaza, the countdown clock from last night has been replaced with a face-cutout standee that shows four people celebrating the new year.

Jeff pretends to celebrate the new year by sticking his head into the faceboard on New Year's Day.

My villagers were also talking about the new year. Boots told me he would be hugely successful in 2020.

Boots: So 2020 is the year I'll be hugely successful! I won't let you down!

But then he stopped to say that he’s actually successful every year. 😛 Typical Boots.

Boots: Well, I'm actually pretty successful every year! Ha ha!

Claudia told me about her new year’s resolution to sell her own workout video.

Claudia: One of mine is to finally market and sell my revolutionary workout video!

It’s called Fidget Yourself Fit.

Claudia: It's called Fidget Yourself Fit! You mostly just chew your fingernails and tap your feet. Feel the burn!

Even a caged tiger wished me a happy 2020!

Rolf, seemingly in a cage: Great to see you here in the mighty year 2020, J-bot!

According to Luna, my recent dream visitors include Jack from Evermore and Lydia from Pearl. Lolly also mentioned Velia from Grandesa. Thanks for stopping by, and have a great 2020, everyone! 🙂
