Shamrock Day 2020

Some items I ordered came in today, including a scoreboard and a 2nd football helmet. So this is what my football room looks like now.

Jeff's football themed room, with two mannequin football players and a scoreboard.

I should probably get a sporty wall to go with it, but it’s a Saharah exclusive and can’t be ordered from the catalog. Well at least I ordered some cleats for the two players today.

Anyway, today is Shamrock Day (also known as St. Patrick’s Day). My villagers were talking about the event, and Big Top appreciated the color green (not surprisingly). 😉

Big Top: It's Shamrock Day today! Green is one of my favorite colors, so it's the perfect holiday for me!

At the event plaza, Isabelle was handing out shamrock hats for the occasion.

Jeff puts on the shamrock hat from Isabelle in Animal Crossing: New Leaf.

There was also a face-cutout standee there, so I stuck my face through it. Well, maybe it was just my eyes.

Are you feeling lucky?

I shot down two balloon presents, including one that was right on the north edge of town. Balloon presents won’t fly here in City Folk.

This one had a balloon sofa inside, and the other one I shot down contained a balloon floor.

I cleaned up my town a bit more, removing more scattered flowers. I’ve also been lining the north and northwest edges of town with flowers: purple violets to the west and red roses to the east.

Not only do I think they look nice, but they can (potentially) breed some others I wouldn’t mind having. Specifically, blue violets (which I can use as replacements around my fountain), and black roses (which I can eventually turn gold to replace any gold roses that get killed accidentally).

Luna informed me that my recent dream visitors included Tom from Sasene and Zed from Smash. Thanks for stopping by!
