On June 9th, Mira asked me to catch a rainbow stag for her. I thought my chances would be better out on the island, so I took Kapp’n’s boat ride across the sea. While I was there, I remembered I could do something I can’t normally do in New Horizons: Fish from the north shore.
In New Horizons, you need to use fish bait to make fish spawn up there on your island.
Anyway, it took me longer than I expected, but I caught a rainbow stag for Mira. When I took it back to her, she rewarded me with a Tower of Pisa.
On Saturday (June 15th), I was visiting Cube when he told me not to look in his mush dresser. So of course, I did look in his mush dresser. There was a robo-closet inside of it (somehow), and Cube let me keep it.
The Bug-Off competition was underway, so I grabbed a goliath beetle from my dock box. Nat gave it a nice, round 100-point score.
That took over the top spot, and Nat gave me a snail clock as my reward. I later put it in my house. After the competition ended, I returned to Nat’s tent for the winners’ ceremony. I won 1st place, while Lolly finished in 2nd place, and Aurora was 3rd. 🙂 Here we are holding our trophies:
Yesterday, Jeremiah said he could smell my Tower of Pisa. I didn’t know it had a scent, unless it was really a tower of pizza? Now that, I’d like to smell. But Jeremiah wanted me to trade it for his makeup case.
I agreed to the trade, just to be nice. 😛
I found three dig spots right next to each other, and they were all fossils! Usually when this happens, one of them is a gyroid or pitfall, but all three were fossils this time.
Mira asked to visit my house (yes, again), and I agreed to it (again). Up in my swampy room with all the frogs, Mira said my house smells just like me! Somehow, I don’t think that’s a compliment. 😆
I showed her every room, and she left once we got to the last room (the basement). Today, she sent me a letter thanking me for having her over. She included a kiddie bed, which she encouraged me to use in my house.
It was raining pretty heavily today, and Aurora (for one) seemed to be enjoying it.
The sky was dark…really dark. Believe it or not, this picture was taken at 10:30 a.m.!
I still haven’t made progress on getting any of the other villager pics I’ve been trying for lately. But I’m not giving up! One of these days I’ll have something to report. I hope. 😆
One last note for today: I’ve had several campers over the past week or so. That included Ed last Monday, Marcie on Tuesday, and Broccolo yesterday.
