On Monday, Moose the mouse was camping at the campsite. He said he just kept running and running until he got here.
Keep running, man. Keep running.
Yesterday, Mira asked me to catch a coelacanth for her!
I try to complete requests for villagers when I still need their photos, but a coelacanth is just sooo rare. Besides, it wasn’t even snowing! So I declined her request.
Hornsby gave me a leaf tee, and I decided to put it on. I know it’s not very wintry, but I needed to change my clothes. They were getting a little stinky. 😛
I played again a few hours later, and guess what? It did start snowing, after all.
It was too late to go back and accept a declined request, but Mira actually had another request for me. There was one problem…
It was for a petition! I can’t travel to another town to collect signatures, so I had to decline this request too! Oof, two in one day? I’m never going to get her photo. 😖
Remember the Mouth of Truth I gave Rolf last month? I found it up for sale in Re-Tail today!
I bought it back, even though it cost me over 6,000 bells. And when I went back outside, Aurora told me she had a dream about a Mouth of Truth. Sounds like a nightmare. 😛
She wanted to buy mine for 2,280 bells, and I agreed to the deal. It’s kinda funny how this keeps getting passed around between me and my villagers. Maybe it’s why none of us have any fingers. 😉
If you didn’t get that joke, it’s because of the legend of the real Mouth of Truth in Italy. Supposedly, it’s like a lie detector. Put your hand in its mouth, and then say something. If you’re lying, legend says it will bite off your hand. 😛
Fortunately, Mira had an easier request for me today: Catch a river fish. I caught a bitterling for her, and she rewarded me with a lightning tee.
There was another camper at the campsite today: Phoebe the ostrich…or phoenix. She’s much better to have around than Moose, that’s for sure. But of course, my town is full anyway.
Cube wanted to trade away his cube clock that I gave him! I guess he’s trying to turn back time. But even more interestingly, he’s trying to trade it for another clock!
I agreed that it was time to trade. After all, the deal was second to none.
Later on, I regifted the cube clock to Inkwell when he asked me for some furniture. But he only gave me a fish in return!
I finished up my night with a concert at Club LOL. I asked K.K. Slider for a random song, and he performed “K.K. Waltz” for me. My former villagers Hamlet and Pashmina were also at the show.
I’ll see you all again in December! Never Stop Crossing!
