Cherry Out

When I checked my mail today, I found a letter from Wishy. He sent me a Mama polar bear for wishing on a shooting star last time. I also got a gift from Aurora; she sent me a cardboard box. 😛

Speaking of cardboard boxes, I saw a bunch of them when I entered Cherry’s house. She’s moving out today, and I made sure to say goodbye to her. Best of luck to you, Cherry! Maybe we’ll meet again in another game!

Cherry: Anyway, you have a good life in Forest, OK? Like me!

Hornsby asked me to bury a time capsule for him, so I put it in the northwest corner of town (where I always keep my time capsules).

Hornsby: Do you know what a time capsule is, boss? It's kind of like a message for your future self.

There was a tent over at the campsite, so I went inside to check it out. Charlise the green bear was inside, so I said hello and then promptly left. 😛

Charlise: I'm Charlise! And you're... Jeff? Nice to meet you!

Jeremiah asked me for some new furniture, but the cardboard box from Aurora was too small for him. 😆 So I went over to Re-Tail and bought a rococo dresser (which coincidentally, was also from Aurora). Jeremiah loved it.

Jeremiah: Oh! A rococo dresser!

In return, he gave me a kiddie wardrobe.

According to Luna, Malcolm from Disney was my most recent dream visitor. Thanks for stopping by!

Awkward Pose

This past Saturday, I started up the game for the first time in October. Jack sent me a skeleton hood in the mail, and it’s a good thing…because it helped cover up my bedhead. 😆 (Shampoodle was already closed for the night.)

Wearing a skeleton hood outside my house.

On Sunday, Cherry told me that she was planning on moving out of town on October 24th. I decided to let her go. She’s lived in town for a year and four months, and I earned her photo back in July.

Cherry: I'm leaving on the 24th of this month. You gonna be OK with that?

When I checked the bulletin board, I saw that Cherry won the most recent fishing tournament. So she’ll be moving out on a high note.

~Fishing Tourney Results~ Winner: Cherry. Second: Inkwell. Third: Boots. Great work, everyone!

I found a lost item, and I returned it to Rolf. In return, he gave me his photo. Of course, I already have one in storage, and a couple extras in the museum, but it’s the thought that counts. 😛

Rolf: It might not be much, but here. Take my Rolf's pic with you! On Toy Day!

Yesterday, I played another game of Desert Island Escape…and I won. I’m still on the intermediate levels, in case you’re wondering. 😛 But it’s fun, and I want to continue playing until I clear them all. I know there are still rewards I need, too.

You escaped!

There was a meteor shower tonight, and I wished on several shooting stars. But I accidentally wiped away a path tile as I was trying to take a photo. That’s why I ended up with this awkward pose. 😆😆😆

Me, about to wipe away a path pattern with my foot.

So I moved into the grass and got a better photo. 😉

Wishing on a shooting star in Animal Crossing: New Leaf (ACNL).

I’ll be back with another entry next week, as I say goodbye to Cherry.

Autumn Moon 2023

Gulliver sent me a Rooster of Barcelos from Portugal in the mail Tuesday, and I later gave it to Hornsby when he asked me for furniture. In return, he gave me a cardboard box. Not exactly a fair trade.

Hornsby: It's a cardboard box! Thank you, boss!

Willow the yellow sheep was camping at the campsite, and I stopped in to say hellow hello.

Willow: Hey there, I'm Willow. I'm just in Forest camping for a little while.

When I visited Aurora yesterday, she told me she was about to write a poem about a jackhammer! I bet that’ll be a hard-hitting poem.

Aurora: Welcome to my home, lamb! I was just sitting down to write a poem about a jackhammer.

Rolf gave me a beatnik shirt, and he told me I was free to do anything I wanted with it. He even said I could marry it!

Rolf: Yours now, so do whatever you'd like. Store it, sell it, marry it-- it's all the same to me!
I can’t marry this shirt! I’m afraid I’d air all its dirty laundry!

Tonight is the night of the autumn moon (harvest moon), and Isabelle was at the plaza to hand out wheat bundles for the occasion.

Isabelle: To celebrate Autumn Moon tonight, I prepared wheat bundles for everyone. Would you like one?

I made sure to pose in the special face-cutout standee too. I’m a scarecrow now!

Jeff poses with the standee for the autumn moon (harvest moon).

Cube pinged me, telling me he was planning on moving out of town on October 1st! That’s only two days away! I told him to stay, but that was a close call! He can’t leave until he gives me his photo.

Cube: That's why I'm thinking of moving someplace new. My plan is to leave on the 1st of next month!

Later, I took a photo of the autumn moon as seen from my metal bench.

The autumn moon (harvest moon) as seen in Forest.

Inkwell was telling me that the full moon may bring out the wolfman. 😆

Inkwell: They say that full-moon nights like tonight are when a wolfman turns into his monstrous form...
Inkwell: I'm so jealous! I wish I had a monstrous form! In the sea!
You do have a monstrous form in the sea! You can turn into a Kraken!

I played another game of Desert Island Escape, and this time, I won! I should keep playing this on a regular basis; it’s fun!

What a great raft! Time to escape this crazy island!
