Smells Like You

On Sunday, Cherry asked to visit my house. Since I’m desperately trying to earn her photo, I agreed to let her come over…even though I had to schedule the visit 40+ minutes ahead of time. Oof. But I was there on time, and she checked out my house…even if she did say my house smelled like me.

Cherry: Mmmmmm! This place is starting to smell just like you!
That “mmmmmm” seems soooooo sarcastic. 😛

I showed her every room, and she eventually left without giving me a gift.

On Monday, I spotted my first snow flurries of the season!

It's snowing in Forest!

Inkwell told me that I could warm up by running a marathon. 😛

Inkwell: On cold days like this, warm up by running a marathon! But don't stop or you'll freeze, in ink!

Yeah, I guess that would warm me up, but there’s got to be an easier way than that, right? 😆 Like maybe putting on a coat?

Last night, the Reset Surveillance Center was open…so I dropped in for a visit. Don warned me to leave before something goes wrong. That was rather ominous. 😛

Don: You should probably head home before something goes wrong.
Are you threatening me?

Today, I cleaned up a ton of unwanted flowers around town. Wondering why? It’s because I decided to update my dream town for the first time in months! Luna informed me that 5,489 people have visited my dream (post-update, that is).

Luna: Records state the number of clients who have experienced a dream about Forest is 5,489.

She also informed me that William from Insomnia was my most recent dream visitor. Thanks for stopping by!

Back in town, Rolf surprised me with a gift: an arctic-camo shirt. His whole body is basically artic-camo. 😛

And before I wrapped up my game for the night, Cherry asked me for a bagworm. I went around town twice, shaking every non-fruit tree I could find. Eventually, I caught one. But Cherry only gave me a shirt for my trouble (a jagged tank).

Cherry: Thanks so much! I'm gonna start secretly calling you Creature Wrangler for this!
Let’s hope it’s very secretly.
I guess it’s better than Worm Wrangler.

See you all next time!

Harvest Fest Fail

Last Wednesday (November 16th), Saharah was in town. I hired her, and she followed me home.

Saharah: I tell this to the Nook man. He ask me to leave.
Don’t ever change, Saharah.

I paid her 3,000 bells, and she installed a backyard fence and a sidewalk in my main room. They’re both nice, but they’re not really a good fit for this room.

When I visited Cherry, she said she thought my arrival was some kind of daring nighttime raid! Oddly enough, she actually looked disappointed that it wasn’t. 😆

Cherry: ...Man, I thought this was some kind of daring nighttime raid or some crazy thing like that. What what!

She then randomly blurted out that she loves potatoes. Cherry is one odd puppy. 😉

Cherry: This has nothing to do with anything, but...I love potatoes! I could eat 'em every day!

The harvest festival was held yesterday, and I had a chat with Franklin over at the event plaza.

Franklin: Hm? You need something from me...? Oh!

He wanted to whip up some fruit salad, so he asked me to collect the ingredients for him. Even though finding the fruit was no problem, I still needed to obtain some vinegar. But right as I started to ask villagers about ingredients, the harvest festival ended!

The Harvest Festival has come to an end! You all made amazing dishes. Good job!

It’s annoying that it ends at 10 p.m. in this game, which is too early for me. Not only am I more of a night owl, but I had already participated in two other Animal Crossing games earlier in the evening. Something similar happened last year, but at least I got to make two dishes then. This year, I completed no dishes at all in this game. 😛

However, Cherry didn’t seem to notice that there was no food to eat. She even called the event a huge success!

Cherry: The Forest Harvest Festival was a huge success this year!
Please don’t lie right to my face. 😛

On the other hand, Lolly seemed to understand the reality of what happened.

Lolly: I'm a little disappointed that I didn't get to try any of Franklin's cooking, but I still had a great time.

When I put some money into my bank account today, my balance reached 123.44 million bells. So I decided to scrounge up a bit more money, just so I could do this:

Your current balance is 123,456,789 bells.
I couldn’t resist.

According to Luna, Elfo from Fae Land was my most recent dream visitor. Thanks for stopping by!

Have a great day! I’ll be back with another entry before the end of the month. 🙂

Digging Up Zombies?

Yesterday, I found Gaston, the yellow, mustached bunny at the campsite. I already have him in City Folk, and I don’t need two Gastons. And of course, my town here is full anyway.

Gaston, at the campsite: I heard the local specialty is one of my favorites, the peach! I love this town! GAHAHA!

Inkwell was talking about digging things up out of the ground, and I jokingly asked if he was talking about zombies. It is Halloween season, after all. 😉 🧟 But he claimed he was just talking about gyroids. Suuuure.

Inkwell: What? Zombies? No, not those! Gyroids! Gyroids, you goofball!

It was Saturday night, so I decided to check out K.K. Slider’s show. But I temporarily forgot where to find him! 😆 I was thinking “well he’s not in the museum in this game,” so I headed to The Roost instead. He obviously wasn’t there either. Then I remembered about Club LOL. Oops. 😛 But I went there to enjoy his performance of K.K. Salsa, along with my former villager Lily.

K.K. Slider performs for Jeff and Lily.

Today, Cherry asked me to play a game of hide-and-seek…even though she always gets found right away. 😛

Cherry: Hey, Jeff! Are you any good at hide-and-seek? I'm awful! I always get found right away!

I agreed to play, and she gave me 15 minutes to find her, Aurora, and Jeremiah. I didn’t get off to the best start, because I fell into a pitfall just seconds into the game.

Jeff struggles to get out of a pitfall near the modern clock.

But my luck quickly turned around. I soon found Cherry trying to hide behind the zen bell, which fulfilled her prediction of getting found right away. 😛

Has a villager used this hiding spot before? It sure rings a bell.

About 40 seconds after that, I found Aurora behind the police station.

Aurora hides behind the police station.
Too bad there wasn’t a police car parked there. She’d blend in better.

And still with almost 12 minutes remaining, I found Jeremiah behind a tree near the Roost and the statue fountain.

Cherry gave me an alpine wall for winning the game. (Note: At this point, I reached my photo limit, so I had to move my 3,000 photos off of my 3DS. Oops.)

After starting the game back up, Cherry informed me that Hornsby is going to compete in a golf tournament!

Cherry: Oh, yeah! So I heard Hornsby is gonna be in a golf tournament! Did you know that?

I’m not normally interested in watching golf tournaments, but I’d certainly make an exception if Hornsby was actually participating in one. 😉

According to Luna, Julio from Kawaii was my most recent dream visitor. Thanks for stopping by!

Have a safe, fun, and Happy Halloween, everyone! 🎃
