Converse in Reverse

On Monday, I received a goodbye letter from Agent S in the mail. Not surprisingly, she sent me another copy of her photo.

On Tuesday, the entrance to Resetti’s lair was open. I dropped in for a visit, and I used the voice-activated system to send Resetti scrambling. πŸ˜‰

Resetti: WHOA! What're ya doin'?!

Inkwell asked me to catch something from the ocean for him.

Inkwell: Hey, Jeff! If you catch something from the ocean, bring it to me!

So I tried to catch this large octopus I spotted almost instantly. πŸ˜‰

Jeff tries to catch Inkwell with a net.

That didn’t quite work, so I caught a sea butterfly for him instead. He rewarded me with a No. 1 shirt…just like the “1” I was already wearing.

Inkwell: Ha ha! A No. 1 shirt!

Over at the campsite, I was thrilled to find Jeremiah the blue frog! I just recently lost Hugh (a similarly-colored pig) in Wild World, and I figured this was a chance to make a new true blue buddy. So I invited him into town, even if it took a million tries. πŸ™‚

Jeremiah: Awesome! I was hoping you'd say that. I'll move here then!

His house spot appeared yesterday, and he moved in today! He lives in the same exact spot where Agent S lived.

He is now officially a Forest resident! Welcome to town, Jeremiah! πŸ™‚

Jeremiah: Since I had such a good time, and you suggested it, I decided to move here after all!

When I visited Cube, he asked me to fetch Boots for him. I agreed to help, but I soon noticed something odd about their conversation:

Boots: I picked up the thing that you wanted, Boots.

Boots was talking to himself? Actually it was worse than just a one-time mistake. Their speech bubbles were reversed for the entire conversation! At the end, “Cube” even said that it was time for him to go, because he needed to exercise!

Cube: Dude! Look at the time! I gotta go! It's almost ab-blaster hour!

Not only was it Cube’s house to begin with, but the real Cube is a lazy villager. Boots is the jock here, not Cube. Nintendo made an oopsie. πŸ˜› Once the real Boots left, the real Cube gave me a modern wood closet for helping out.

Party Cancelled

This past Saturday (July 2nd) was Agent S’s birthday. I wanted to celebrate with her one last time before she moved out. But I was very surprised to find that she wasn’t having a party! She was outside walking around like it was any other day!

Agent S outside, walking around, on her birthday (July 2nd).

In fact, she even complained that there was nothing exciting going on!

Agent S: BOO! There is NOTHING exciting going on right now. How in the world am I supposed to have fun?
So have a party! Duh.

Do villagers not have parties if they’re scheduled to move out soon? I knew if it was her actual moving day, she wouldn’t have the party…but it wasn’t her moving day yet. If any of you have experienced this, please leave a comment below!

On Sunday, Cherry invited me over to see her house. Unfortunately, I had to schedule an appointment to do it. πŸ˜‚ But I did show up at the designated time, and I finally got to see the inside of her home. She has modern furniture and walls, along with a simple armchair and love seat, and a snowboard.

It was black and white and red all over. πŸ˜‰

Yesterday, Saharah was in town. She installed a daisy meadow and a rococo wall. They both look nice, but it’s kind of an odd combination.

Jeff's home after Saharah installed new wallpaper and carpeting.

Today, I played again to say goodbye to Agent S. Forest will feel different without her. But I do still have her in New Horizons, so that will keep me from missing her too much. πŸ˜›

Agent S: Promise me you'll try to enjoy life in Forest without me. You'll have to have fun for the both of us!

There was a tent at the campsite, and I found Ankha inside!

Ankha: I'm just in town camping for a bit. I needed a little break from my hometown.

Since Agent S isn’t gone yet, I couldn’t adopt her. If she had come just one day later, I could have (and probably would have) adopted her! Another interesting note is that this is at least the 5th time Ankha has camped at my campsite! And all five times, my town has been full.

Anyway, there was a meteor shower in town tonight. I made sure to wish on a few shooting stars.

Little Kid Cube

On Sunday, Agent S told me that she was planning on moving out of Forest in early July.

Agent S: Hey there! I know it's totally out of the blue, and I hope I don't shock you. But I'm thinking of moving.

I decided to let her go, for a few reasons. For one thing, I’ve been trying to shake up what was a stagnant villager list to keep things more interesting. Secondly, she’s been in town for eight and a half years (since Jan. 2014), which is a very long stay already. And thirdly, I still have Agent S in New Horizons, where she can’t leave until I say so. πŸ˜›

But her exit still isn’t set in stone, because villagers can change their minds on their own in New Leaf. (And I’m not going to stop talking to her just to make sure she leaves.) But most likely, she will be gone by the time I post my next blog entry.

On Monday, Harvey was feeding birds at the drive-in campground. I had fun scaring the birds away (shocking Harvey), and then watching them fly back to the ground. Sometimes the simple little details can be very entertaining. πŸ™‚

Two birds fly in above Harvey's head.

Saharah was in town on Tuesday, and I paid her 3,000 bells for some new wallpaper and flooring. She gave me a ramshackle wall and a green rug. I don’t feel like I got my money’s worth this time. πŸ˜›

Sitting on my house, unhappy with the ugly ramshackle wall from Saharah.

Today, I listened in on a conversation between Cube and Molly. Cube asked Molly what people thought of him, and Molly replied that Isabelle called him childlike and cute…and Molly agreed.

Molly: Hmmm? Well, Isabelle said she thought you were quite childlike and cute, quackers, and I agreed.

Cube was upset to hear that people thought of him as a little kid, and he said he’s been drinking coffee before bed every night to show off his maturity. πŸ˜›

Cube: What?! You think of me like a little kid?!
Cube: I've been drinking 3 cups of coffee every night before bed so everyone will see how mature I am!

Molly apologized, saying she didn’t know he was trying so hard. Cube said that if she was really sorry, she should dance the “sorry” dance. Molly reluctantly did so.

Molly, while dancing: I'm sooo so-so-soorrryy!

That’s when Molly realized I was standing right there and saw the whole thing. She got very embarrassed. πŸ˜›

Molly: Cupcake, could you please just forget you ever saw that?! Pleeeaaase, quackers!

That was a cute villager discussion…even if it did end with Cube feeling insulted and Molly feeling embarrassed.

As for my newest resident Cherry, I’ve fulfilled several requests of hers. But I still haven’t seen the inside of her house. She’s been outside (or on Main Street) every day so far.
