I’m a Ghost

Jack recently sent me a letter reminding me about Halloween coming up at the end of the month, and he sent me a ghost mask to get me started. I decided to put it on right away…even if that’s only because I had some bedhead and the salon was closed. 😛

A message on the bulletin board said that the fishing tournament had concluded. However, no winner was named.

10/10/2021 The Fishing Tourney for this month has concluded. The next event will be held on November 20th, 2021! We hope to see you there!

That seems to indicate that the tourney was actually cancelled…and that goes against the spirit of Animal Crossing. Life in the game supposedly goes on whether you’re there or not.

On Sunday (October 17th), Agent S asked me to dig up her time capsule. So I did, and when she opened it, we discovered a foosball table inside. She gave it to me as my reward for helping out.

Agent S: For helping me out, you should get what I stuffed in there! Please take the foosball table.

There was a meteor shower underway tonight, so I wished on several shooting stars. This was my favorite picture, showing two shooting stars above my statue fountain.

Up on Main Street, Elise the ugly monkey was complaining about the crowds. But it was nighttime, and there wasn’t much of anyone around! Unless she was complaining about me being around. 😛

Elise: Argh, these crowds! You know, I do love shopping, jeff, but the lines and the competition get to me.

Back in town, Inkwell asked me for a piece of fruit. I gave him a perfect peach and he loved it.

Inkwell: Yummahumma!

He gave me an imperial tile in return. I looked all around to find Cube, but he’s another one of those villagers that seems to disappear. I even checked the entire the museum, and he wasn’t there. And then by 11:00, he was already asleep.

According to Luna, my recent dream visitors have been Ella from Starcat and Emanuel from TAvilage. Thanks for stopping by!

Elephant in the… Tomb?

On Tuesday, I happened to be playing right at 9:00 p.m.; I was treated to a display of the lights in the modern clock PWP.

The modern clock lights up at the top of the hour.

Yesterday, Del the gator was camping at the campsite. He was my buddy in City Folk from 2010-13. If I had a free spot, I might have asked him to move in. But for now, I’m happy having Cube around.

Del: I didn't do any research or anything before choosing a place to camp. I think I lucked out with this town!

Saharah was hanging around, so I asked her to install some new wallpaper and carpeting.

Saharah: Let us travel to your palace. Swiftly!

She put in a cabin wall and some red tile (flooring). Not bad I suppose, but I certainly didn’t keep them installed.

Tonight, Big Top wanted to play a game of hide-and-seek. He gave me ten minutes to find him, Inkwell, and Lolly. I quickly found Inkwell behind a tree near Big Top’s house. A few minutes later, I found an elephant trying to hide behind the butt of the Sphinx. Sorry Big Top, but that’s an awful hiding spot for you. 😛

Big Top: No! How'd you find me?! I was in super-stealth mode and everything!

After a complete circle around town, I still didn’t find the third hider. So I went down the beach, and there I found Lolly behind a banana tree.

Big Top gave me an exotic wardrobe for winning the game.

Even though Cube didn’t participate in hide-and-seek, I still had trouble tracking him down tonight. This always seems to happen with my newest villager. I eventually found him in the museum, hungrily looking at the fish. 😀

Cube: Oh, hi, Jeff! Looking at fish kinda makes me sooo hungry, d-d-dude.

According to Luna, my recent dream visitors include Sundae from Ghost and Rosevelt from Alpha. Thanks for stopping by, and I’ll see you all next time!

Camper Cousteau & Capsules

On September 5th, Inkwell asked me to dig up his time capsule. I did, and we found a reggae tank inside. He gave it to me as my reward. Thanks, mon!

Inkwell: It's a reggae tank! Did you put that in there, or did I?

A week later (this past Sunday), Agent S asked me to bury another time capsule for her. I agreed to help out, but maybe I need to keep my letter section full so that I stop getting all these time capsule requests. 😛

Agent S: I want you to bury a time capsule that has my note inside. Will you help me and Future Agent S?

Cousteau the yellow, mustached frog was camping in town today. Even if I had a free space in town (which I don’t), I’d never willingly ask him to move in.

Cousteau: Hey! Do you think it's OK if I camp here for a while?
You can camp here for the night, but I want you to hop out of town by tomorrow.

Inkwell was getting hungry, and he asked me to find a pear for him. I shook a nearby tree, and took the pear over to him. He sucked it down in an instant.

Inkwell slurps down a pear.

He loved it, and he rewarded me with a lucky cat.

Saharah was in town, and I paid her 3,000 bells to install some new wallpaper and carpeting.

Saharah: I am called Saharah, for that is my name. I come from faraway land.

She decided on a lattice wall and a closed road for me; I then decided against them both.

According to Luna, my recent dream visitors include Akihito from Ruby, Padraic from DaHood, Sammy from Waffles, Lilysong from Oakclan, and Ethan from Tahiti. Thanks for stopping by!
