Today, Big Top approached me and told me he’s going to be moving out of town.
However, I was able to change his mind.
I started my walk around town, looking for my fossils and money rock. A couple minutes later, I saw Big Top again. This time, he said he heard a rumor that I’m a deep diver??
I made my way to The Roost and I worked a shift. My job there is starting to get harder; the customers aren’t even telling me what they want any more. They just say they want “the usual.” Ugh. I have started to keep a text file to keep track of what’s right and wrong, but it’s going to take a while before I learn how everyone likes their coffee. As for today, I struck out big time.
And for the first time, Isabelle herself came in for a cup of coffee.
My assistant is probably wondering why the mayor needs to be working a second job at a coffee shop that pays me in beans. Oh well. I Â Â Â Â ed up her order too. Brewster wasn’t happy.
After that, I walked up to Main Street. There’s a new store in town, T.I.Y.!
Obviously it’s a parody of D.I.Y. (Do It Yourself), but what does T.I.Y. stand for? Tickle it yourself? Anyway, I went inside to check it out. T.I.Y. has not been in previous Animal Crossing games, so I wanted to see what it was like.
Other than a new layout, it’s not all that different. But there is something new: the ability to buy K.K. songs!
I know I had some readers ask me about buying K.K. songs before at Super T&T. You can’t buy them at Super T&T, but you can buy them once the store upgrades to T.I.Y.
Another interesting feature is that the garden shop got absorbed into T.I.Y. as well. I guess that’s to make it more like the real D.I.Y.
And Leif told me that he now can provide a weed-pulling service. That’s not something I’m going to need, but I know a lot of you will probably love this feature if you time travel or go long periods without playing the game.
After that, I decided to open my gate for a little bit. Wendy came over to visit… and then someone else tried to come in, but we got disconnected. I reopened and Wendy came back, but the other person didn’t. Wendy brought me all the types of fruit I didn’t have yet. So I went around town planting them all. Along the way, I found a special tree stump; this one had a butterfly and a piece of bread on it.
Mushrooms will grow around special stumps, so I’m going to leave this stump like this, at least for a while. Wendy and I each sat on a stump, and then we amused ourselves by spinning around on them.
After I was finished planting all the fruit trees, we took a trip to the island for a little bug-catching and fishing. While there, I caught a new bug (a giant stag). I also caught three sharks (two regular ones and one whale shark) that I later sold for a nice chunk of change. Around 11:40, we returned to shore and I ended the session.
I have now completed my Animal Crossing New Leaf Hair Guide! It tells how to get the hair style and color that you want, along with pictures of each. It includes the exact wording of the English language version too, so I think you’ll find it to be the best hair guide out there! I hope you’ll check it out and bookmark it so you’ll be all set once you get your character to a Shampoodle salon!
