How to Replace a Toilet

I was visiting Boots on Thursday, and he informed me that his stool is really comfortable. Uh, I guess that’s good? Why is he telling me this? At least he won’t need any stool softener.

Boots: Heh heh! I gotta say, my stool is really comfortable.

Tonight, Big Top was looking for some new furniture. He was looking for something to replace his portable toilet.

Big Top: It's redecorating time at Casa Big Top. Right now, I've got a portable toilet.
Big Top: But I'm looking for something to replace it that's around the same size.

Re-Tail didn’t have anything good, and the Emporium was already closed for the night. But when I went to the campground, I found the perfect thing for Big Top to use as a toilet: a stack of tires!

Harvey: Ah! So you're interested in my tire stack...

I took it back to Big Top, and he loved it! He then gave me a harp, no strings attached.

Big Top: Oh! A tire stack! This is perfect!

When I walked into Boots’ house, I was surprised to find Lolly there too. They had that deer-in-headlights look. Did I interrupt something?

Lolly and Boots look at Jeff awkwardly as he enters the room.

Lolly told me she was making a painting of an microwave, but she didn’t know what one looked like. Yeah, that sounds really believable…

Lolly: I'm not really sure what a microwave looks like. I'm painting without a reference.

She offered me a four-ball tee for my microwave, and I agreed to the trade.

Claudia asked me to catch an eel for her, so I did. Eels are common enough, and easy to spot in the river, after all. When I took it over to her, she rewarded me with a pastel-dot rug.

Before wrapping up my game for the night, I did a little dance by the campfire.

Sponge Cake

Earlier this week, Rolf got a little over excited about my vacuum cleaner.

Rolf: When I saw your vacuum cleaner, my heart skipped a beat!

He said he would give his whole life savings for it…but that turned out to be only 150 bells. However, I still sold it to him, even if the price sucks. 😛

Tonight, Boots and Aurora were discussing ideas for a protein cookie. Aurora said she tried making some, but they weren’t edible. So instead, Boots suggested some protein-infused sponge cake.

Boots: Well...how about protein-infused, muscle-buffing sponge cake?

Aurora loved the idea, and she couldn’t wait to start making them.

Aurora: It's been a while since I've been this excited to get into the kitchen!

When I went to visit Lolly, I saw an unusual sight: She was sitting in her chair! I wish this sort of thing happened more often.

Lolly, sitting in a chair: I hope you had a chance to check out my bookshelf. It's full of books, of course!

At Club LOL, K.K. Slider performed the song “Only Me” for me, Dizzy, and Peck.

K.K.: Enough tuning--let's groove. This next one is for you, Jeff. It's called Only Me.

My recent dream visitors have been Villager from Forest, ….. from Moss Vil, Jaime from Waldron, and this Korean player.

Two-Banded Win

There was a meteor shower on Thursday night, so I sat on the metal bench to watch a few shooting stars go by.

Last night, Aurora told me she saw a moth and she was obsessed with it! That seems a bit odd, but who am I to judge? I caught a precious moth for her, and she rewarded me with a chevron shirt.

Aurora: I saw a picture of this beautiful moth, and now I'm completely obsessed!

The July Bug-Off was held today, and I spotted a Raja Brooke butterfly not long after starting up the game. I caught it and took it over to Nat (the Bug-Off judge), and he loved it. He gave it a score of 71 points, which put me in first place. He also gave me an antique clock.

Nat, the Bug-Off judge: Smashing!

Many of my villagers were also participating in the Bug-Off, and cute little Molly wondered aloud where her little buggy friends were.

Molly, holding a net during the Bug-Off competition: Where, oh, where are my little buggy friends?

Agent S was also enjoying the spirit of competition.

Agent S: Everyone in Forest is, like, totally freaking out about this super-awesome Bug-Off!

When I saw a fast dragonfly, I chased it down and caught it without too much trouble. It was a banded dragonfly! These things used to be so hard to catch in the older games!

I caught a banded dragonfly! Now to find the rest of its band! 109.5mm

I took it over to Nat, and it scored 91 points. That beat my own record, but it also qualified me for a buggy piece of furniture: a honeybee chest. When I took it home to get a good look at it, I was surprised it was so angular.

I’m afraid I’ll get stung if I try to open it.

Believe it or not, I actually caught another banded dragonfly. But I didn’t give this one to Nat; I sold it instead.

Claudia was indoors, apparently hiding because she was having a bad hair day.

Claudia: Can I tell you a secret, Jeff? OK...this is really hard to talk about, but I'm having a bad hair day.
Don’t let it bother you. It always looks this bad.

After 6:00, I entered Nat’s tent for the Bug-Off winners’ ceremony. Molly won third prize with a 41-point mantis, Rolf won 2nd with a 62-point walking stick, and my banded dragonfly won the competition. Nat gave me my trophy to celebrate the win.

After banging the day’s money rock, I had enough money to kick my bank account balance up to 114 million bells.

Your current balance is 114,000,000 bells.
