Sky Keep

Back in the Sky Keep, I see that there are stations where you can move around the rooms of the dungeon like a sliding block puzzle. Not every room has one of those stations, and you can never move the room that you’re currently in. Each room has door(s) on different sides of the room, so the challenge is to line them up correctly to move from room to room and recover the three pieces of the Triforce.

Sky Keep map. Each room has a different theme and resembles a different area from earlier in the game.

Sky Keep pirate.Even though the last room was combat-heavy with some large enemies, the dungeon didn’t have a boss battle. But I did recover the three pieces of the Triforce.

SPOILER WARNING – Spoilers ahead, so read at your own risk. I know this blog already contains some light to medium spoilers, but these spoilers are bigger now. So turn back now if you want to be surprised when you play through the endgame yourself.

After assembling the Triforce, Smurf-Fi told me to wish for the destruction of Demise. From what I understand, Demise is another name for The Imprisoned, the boss I had to fight three times earlier in the game (the one with the sensitive toes). And with that wish, the goddess statue island broke apart from Skyloft and fell all the way to the surface (from whence it came).

Oops, I broke the island. It fell into the huge crater where The Imprisoned kept rising from, filling in the gap perfectly. Smurf-Fi tells me that Zelda can now awaken from her long slumber. The game goes into pseudo-ending mode, with scenes you’d expect at the end of the game. Of course I knew it wasn’t really the end, since the Demon Lord is still at large and has yet to be dealt with. But Zelda wakes up and is reunited with Link, and Groose is so happy that he hugs the old woman in the Sealed Temple, and so on. Awww.

Sealed Temple celebration. And then guess who… the Demon Lord himself, steps out from behind a pillar. He uses some sort of magic to knock out Zelda and knock down Link. He admits that we ruined his plans to revive the demon king (Demise?) in the present, so he grabs Zelda and goes through the Gate of Time to try to do his evil in the past. It’s up to Link to follow him through the gate. It seems as if it’s time for the last battle(s), but I decided to save that for next time.

Ghirahim: The past is full of possibilities. I shall revive Demise there!I did however, go back up to Skyloft. I reloaded my bottles, grabbed the treasure chests from the goddess cubes I had already activated, and just prepared for what could be the last battle. The end is near.
