First of all, let me say something I forgot to mention last time. Earlier in this dungeon (Fire Sanctuary), I found a treasure chest that contained an empty bottle, which was my fourth one. This dungeon also has some fairies (which can be bottled up), so it came in handy.
Anyway, I reached the bridge of decision, where I had to make a leap of faith.
Continuing along, I came across one of these symbols on the wall where you can draw a picture with your charged-up sword. The game tells you that you can draw a heart to receive life, and I had also previously discovered that drawing arrows can get you some free arrows. But my health was full and I had plenty of arrows. My bombs were a bit low, so I tried drawing a bomb.
It worked and I got a bunch of bombs. I wonder what else it works with. Anyway, I eventually got the “Mysterious Crystals,” which function as the boss key for this dungeon. But I first checked my map and saw there was one other treasure chest I didn’t collect yet, so I backtracked to get it. Turns out it only contained 20 rupees. I saved my game and went back to the boss door. To my dismay, the boss of this level is once again Ghirahim, the demon lord.
As he did in Skyview Temple, he will grab your sword and it’s hard to break free of that, let alone land a hit on him. I was swinging my arm around so much, it almost fell off. 😛 Bosses like this are a prime example of why I’m not very fond of motion controls in games that aren’t named Wii Sports.
He killed me once and he killed me twice. On the third try, I finally beat him. I got the third and final sacred flame to go into my sword. I also got my hand stamped the third and final piece of the Triforce on my hand glove.
And Smurf-Fi told me that my sword has now become the Master Sword.
I now have to go to the sealed temple to awaken the gate of time. On that note, I saved my game and quit for the night.
