Madeline is all grown up now, and she has moved into her own apartment.
And with that, the apartment building got expanded. It now has room for a total of 72 islanders.
A Tomodachi Life StreetPass brought a new boat to the port. Unfortunately, no travelers were on board. And the imported item--a monkey hat--was something I've already received before. The boat did take one of the Sophies away, though. (It was the former camper, not Lucille 2's daughter).
I rang Conan's doorbell one day, and I startled Conan and Tobias. Their faces also startled me! They're looking kinda freaky here.
I spun Juan around in his backyard, and I could clearly see that his face is one-of-a-kind.
Meanwhile, Darth Vader was upset because he had a fight with Mario. That's not surprising, considering he married Peach!
Fortunately, they were able to make up. For now, at least.
The next day, Juan was all grown up and ready to move out. He will travel the world via StreetPass. In theory, at least.
Later on, Peach told me that Darth Vader meows in his sleep! I'll never think of him the same again.
March is here now, and that marks the beginning of spring. The snow has melted from the island, and islanders will comment on the warmer weather.
The beginning of spring also brings some new seasonal fashions, including a spring dress and this bee suit.
And for March only, a new train interior is available for $250. It looks like the inside of a train, and it features scenery that scrolls by the windows. You'll feel like you're really in motion. Locomotion.
A fishing tournament was held recently, and Alien took home the top prize. He used a grilled cheese sandwich as lure to bring in the big fish.
Breezy told me she had feelings for Tobias, but I told her to forget about it. That left her feeling sad and blue. But almost immediately, Gaston told me he (finally) wanted to ask out Breezy!
Since Breezy was still upset over Tobias, I didn't think she'd agree to go out with the mustached bunny. But I was wrong! She said yes, and Breezy and Gaston are sweethearts at last! I've been trying to set them up for a long time now!
Love must have been in the air, because Buster told me he had feelings for Miss Piggy. He asked her out...
...and she said yes! They are now sweethearts. Poor Tobias, who previously showed interest in Miss Piggy, can't seem to catch a break lately.
The arrival of March also brings a new SpotPass item: A leprechaun hat! It won't cost you much gold (just $15.00), and it's available in three shades of green. Wear this and you'll be all set for St. Patrick's Day later this month!
And just today, Shaq told me that he and Lindsay are thinking about having a baby! I told them to go for it, so you'll probably be able to see their baby in the next entry.
the "everybody loves the sound of a train in the distance" is probably and insanely unexpectedly a reference to the 1983 Paul Simon song Train In The Distance (which has the quoted line in the chorus)
insanely because it's not a well-known song! it's from one of his more obscure albums.

I kind of wish the melting of snow was more gradual in Tomodachi Life and Animal Crossing, like towards the middle of February you'd start to see tiny patches of grass in the snow that would get bigger and bigger over time until the beginning of March where it's all gone. But I guess it all just disappearing at once makes it more exciting, like you just wake up and there's all this GREEN just waiting for you to explore it!
