Entry 7: Photo Studio
I recently added a Velma Mii (from Scooby Doo) and she turned up in an unexpected place: On a legendary fish! Good thing I watch the news! Each day at the fountain, your Miis line up and donate money into a piggy bank. You can use this money to buy them food and gifts. If a Mii is extremely short (like Breezy is), they'll have to jump up to toss money in.
When I checked in on Velma, she said she felt creeped out because it felt like someone was watching her.
A news flash alerted me of a new feature available on the island: the photo studio!
While it didn't sound like much at first, it is truly a cool feature. There are dozens of different poses and backgrounds to use. For photos of two Miis, you can choose to take a picture at prom:
Or the opera.
Or a rock & roll promo.
And there's this one called stardust.
Or you can pose for a wedding photo.
There are a lot of options to choose from, and I had a lot of fun plugging in Miis for different pictures. But there are also lots of choices for group photos as well. Who wouldn't want to see this summer blockbuster?
You can also take themed photos of a birthday, celebration, holiday, classroom, a beach, and even one where you put your faces in circus animal cutouts, to name a few.
Or you can gather up all your Miis for one big island picture, although these full-island pictures are pretty plain. Still, it is nice to get everyone in one picture.
This photo studio is already one of my favorite features of the game so far. I want to make more Arrested Development Miis to plug them in to some of these group photos. This is going to be a lot of fun to play around with. But other things were going on tonight, too. Bobby Hill had a dream where he was pulling a red thread, only to find the other end was held in place by a rock.
When he woke up, he wanted a new hat. So I gave him the broccoli hat!
Mr. Bean told me he'd like to befriend Bobby Hill, so I introduced them. Mr. Bean went over to Bobby's apartment.
They started talking, and they actually got along pretty well. I wouldn't have thought beans and broccoli would go good together.
I also played a round of Quirky Questions and one of the questions worked out perfectly. I asked "Who is afraid of giant snowmen?" and Yukon Cornelius was the only one to raise his hand! Couldn't have scripted it any better.
And before I finished up for the night, I checked the Mii News. They discussed a claw game with Miis inside. I bet Buster Bluth would be good at this!
See you next time! By the way, Tomodachi Life is now available in the Nintendo eShop and in stores!
