Day 23
Time to go back to school! Isabelle wanted me to redesign the school, this time with two classrooms and a hallway. I got to choose from two possible layouts; I chose the one that had wider classrooms. I was hoping I wouldn't have to start from scratch, and fortunately, I didn't have to. My previous classroom was still intact. That was a big relief. I left it alone for now.The hallway, to my surprise, didn't have any requirements. But I put up a billboard, a corkboard, a couple of benches, a clock, and of course, some lockers.
A lot of sporting equipment has been unlocked for this school upgrade, so I wondered if the second classroom could be a gymnasium. But the room has the same requirements as the first classroom: A teacher's desk, four chairs, and four tables. So I decided to compromise. One part of the room would be a simple classroom set up in the gymnasium. The other end of the room has a basketball hoop, a balance beam, and there's also a volleyball net they can pull out when it's time for physical education. I would still prefer if there was a separate gymnasium, but this will have to do for now.
When it started showing the montage, my co-workers were running around the hallway like crazy! Why not sitting on the bench or standing at a locker? I sure wasn't expecting that! Hey, no running in the hall!
Day 24
Isabelle told me the school re-design has been getting rave reviews. She says I'm now able to rebuild any facility I choose. I'll need to speak with Digby each time I want to re-design one of them again.Isabelle and Digby had a little exchange where Isabelle expresses surprise that her little brother was put in charge of rebuilding facilities.
Digby fired back that they're actually twins, and he says he's not the little one.
But for now, I headed outside to find a client. I don't care for doing more than one facility on the same (real life) day. I found Naomi, who wanted a place to display her art collection.
I had the choice of a one-room or two-room building. I went with one extra-long room, even though it doesn't look any wider from the outside. I put up a couple of new artsy public works projects (from New Leaf) outside, and I tried to make it look like a red carpet leading up to the gallery.
Inside, I used an exhibit-room floor and museum wall. I quickly found out that even though the room was wide, it wasn't very deep. This isn't going to be the Louvre here. But I added in some display cases, some paintings, some statues, and some museum chairs to sit on.
Naomi loved the artwork; she especially seemed to enjoy the...uh...revealing statues. She was using an emotion that appeared to have red roses floating from her. Interesting.
Once I was done, I learned the flourish emotion. And with that, I wrapped up my night at Nook's Homes. See you next time!
