Day 67
Dora the mouse was out on Main Street today, so I said hello. She said that she wanted to grow her own herbs in a home garden.I picked out a large field in the mountains for her. There is a pond at the edge of her property, so that should make watering her herbs a bit easier.
Dora insisted on a stone well and a handcart outdoors. Quite a few items were unlocked for this project, including a tin watering can, six types of mushrooms, two different scarecrows, wheat fields, wheat bundles, and all five types of perfect fruit trees. Even the Pikmin were unlocked--but I don't think they would taste very good in a salad. I used a dozen planters for Dora's herbs, while also including a log bench to sit on.
Inside, I found that the rice-paddy wall and field floor were unlocked; I used them both. Since I felt the main theme of the house was met with the outdoor section, I just had a little fun in here. I put in some wheat fields, some mushrooms, and both of the scarecrows.
I also had a little fun playing around with the camera (and by making Dora fly).

Day 68
Next up was Rodney the hamster, who wanted a production studio in his home so that he could make some movies and TV shows. The only two pieces of furniture unlocked were the video camera and TV with VCR. I decided to put in some tree stumps and some fire...this is where they film Survivor!Indoors, I decided to make a game show studio. Unfortunately, I haven't unlocked the game show stands yet, so I used regular podiums. But Rodney doesn't look very excited at his opportunity to win fabulous cash and prizes!

See you next time!
